Yesterday (Feb 20th, 2025) I’ve purchased a WoW Classic Cataclysm character boost to level 80. 2 to 3 hours later a shop update released 1) A new boost to level 85; 2) A whole MoP pack which includes the boost and provides a lot of other bonuses.
The issue here is that, I really didn’t get my moneys worth. I’d understand if that “update” was communicated prior, or it would have happened a week or even a day ago - but it didn’t. It was literally a few hours difference, again WITHOUT any input that this will be happening from any of the teams in Blizzard.
I’ve tried reaching out to support to get a refund - denied. Then I tried asking if there are any other ways to resolve this so I would actually get my moneys worth (just boost the char from 80 to 85 or let me spend some buck on top so I could get an upgrade) - nope, denied.
I’m not sure how many of the people fell for this, but this is legit could have been avoided completely by just announcing a few days prior or solving the issues with people who got into this situation in the end.
There’s a small part of me that hopes this will get resolved one way or another, and that in the end, there are still Developers in there caring for their gaming community through out.
