Hello, dear developers, could you please create a system of add-ons that would not squish the character and equipment stats so much, and would not simplify the content for low-level characters, preventing them from quickly gaining levels and reaching relevant content.
Let me explain a little:
The current pace of the game is to keep up with new content and master it as quickly as possible. As a result, the game turns into a second job. Because if you don’t put enough time and effort into the game, you either become a player who is far behind and gets all the rewards for next to nothing (to keep up with relevant content), or you are in a state of a constantly lagging player who is unable to compete with the majority, but at the same time putting in a lot of effort that becomes useless to anyone due to the release of new content. In this rhythm, you must always be ahead and it is tiring.
That is, at the moment there is “relevant content” that can be approached very easily, but then you need a lot of effort to be in the ranks of the majority.
I would like any player to be able to start playing from level 1 and feel all the content around him as relevant, and have players of their level to play the game at the current level with the same sensations as in the relevant content. When you simplify all the past content - you deprive players of this opportunity, because everything is so simple that it turns into a routine and does not bring pleasure. In such a situation, each player strives for relevant content, and this is logical, because low-level content is bland and deserted.
If you allow any player to experience the same thing that he can experience in the relevant content - you will free him from the endless race, and allow him to experience pleasure in overcoming the corresponding efforts that are comparable to his level.
No need to speed up the leveling, no need to create bands, no need to create inheritable items. Just let players play the old content. Limit them from skipping dungeons and raids of their current level. Make their professions relevant to their level. Make the requirements for moving to a new expansion relevant to their level. Don’t count achievements if they were received by a character who is stronger than the content for which this achievement was created.
At the same time, old players who are interested in WOW as a platform for competitions will always be able to buy a token and upgrade any character for playing in the current content. After all, at the moment a token is given anyway when you buy the game. And I personally have never used it, since in the current reality it is not particularly necessary. A character can be upgraded in just a couple of days.
I am just writing this because the game has lost its spirit. So many beautiful places and locations, dungeons. And all this flies past players who see nothing but ratings in PVP and PVE.
There is so much beauty and interactive in the world, but almost no one is interested in it. And this is not the problem of the players, but the rules of the game, which dictate to the player what he needs to focus on.
That is why private servers always remain relevant - because they allow you to log in to a character many years later - and still feel in the groove of events. There are many quality projects that have shown their stability over 15 years. And this is the same feeling of freedom and relief that the official WOW takes away from you.
