I recently got the underlight angler and have been struggling to get the maximum functionality other players seem to be capable of acquiring.
I have put a post up in the forums seeking help but there seems to be functioning work-arounds that specifically aren’t working on my character.
I am unable to get the “surface tension” buff from the artifact, nor the “underlight blessing”, including the passive effects of “Cursed Queenfish” and “Bloodfishing”. The only skill i have managed to acquire is the “Undercurrent” skill.
Why am I having so much trouble with this where many players seeking out this artifact and its benefits are getting their use when acquiring it from Dragonflight expansion “era”.
I do notice something a little strange about the behaviour of the rod that may be entirely unrelated. The buff that appears when you are using the underlight angler, “Fishing For Attention”, sometimes my toon will cast an invisible rod until i remove that buff and then recast the rod, to which the item will appear in its hand again.
This isn’t an addon issue, I have both deactivated them and removed them from my wow folder in attempts to remedy this issue and I still have no luck.
I have also run into the suggestions for tackling this issue lingering in the support columns when trying to ticket this issue through battle.net (what a sh*t show that ticketing system is). It suggests zoning out/in, refreshing interface, checking questlog for associated quests that may be impeding my desired result. These aren’t releveant.
