WoW Classic TBC World Boss Loot Trading

What happened is this: Last night we killed Doom Lord Kazzak on our Server and he dropped the Healer Ring and the Healer Boots. I won the boots and someone else won the Ring - but as it was late the Masterlooter confused the items and gave the winner of the ring the boots (and the ring afterwards too as he won it obviously). The winner of the ring then wanted to trade me the boots but world boss loot is not tradable for whatever reason… A ticket wasnt able to solve this problem as the GM just said: "[…]thanks so much for taking the time to write to us about not being able to trade an item in WOW Classic. I am sorry to hear that happened especially if it would have been a big upgrade for another party member instead. >.<

Up front, I don’t have the best news to share. Vanilla WOW didn’t have loot trading like modern World of Warcraft does so WOW Classic is the same with one small change. In WOW Classic you can only trade soulbound items from raids - https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/loot-trading-in-classic-updated/131586 - as highlighted by this post. We are unable to offer making an exception around this intended game design even if a mistake happened. For any feedback about this, please let our developers know - https://battle.net/feedback - via the forums. No personalized response is guaranteed just as a heads up.

I know this isn’t the answer you’re looking for but I appreciate you taking the time to read my response. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know."
So my question is: why is it not possible for GM’s to help with obvious problems that cant be resolved otherwise… The Person that got the boots wanted to give them to me; the lootmaster apologized for it as I should have gotten the boots and all three of us made a ticket to get it sorted, but apparently it cant be sorted out for whatever reason… like everyone who was part of that situation on every side had the same goal… so why shouldnt it be possible for a GM to solve these issues. In the bluepost linked it states that raid loot has the 2hr trade window… But worldboss loot has not - are worldbosses no raid? havnt we been there with 40 ppl in a RAID to kill that guy? - The bluepost also states that it only applies to souldbound gear… which is obviously the case here.
“[…]We wanted to keep loot trading in WoW Classic because the end result is the same – the correct person gets the item – and it’ll save everyone time. […]”(en/wow/t/loot-trading-in-classic-updated/131586) This is obviously not the case… The wrong Person got the item and no time at all was saved here… This is no case of ninjalooting or teaming up or anything scammy like that… it just a mistake that was made - that everyone acknowledged as a mistake - and mistakes can always happen. I just dont get why noone is able to help sort it out when it would be easy to solve the issue.

Hey there Tufplom,

The loot trading rules are described by this article in here.

Now as much as I understand the frustration on this, the support cannot act in a manner contrary to the gameplay. You are more than welcome to provide feedback about this however.

Additionally since your post is about Classic WoW, you may be better off posting in the dedicated forums in here.
