I work in customer support for a living and take pride in providing excellent service in my professional life. To be completely honest, my experience with World of Warcraft’s customer support has been, without a doubt, the worst I’ve ever encountered in the online support space.
It’s surprising, considering WoW Classic is the game that built the company and served as the catalyst for its growth into the industry giant it is today. You’d expect them to prioritize their most dedicated and loyal players, but my experience suggests the opposite. It’s shocking.
The company seems to invest little in helping players, instead banning accounts left and right without addressing issues or improving their systems and processes. It’s mind-boggling that paying customers are locked out of the game—often through no fault of their own—while their subscriptions continue to run. Honestly, is this even legal?
