‘the Application Encountered an Unexpected Error’

What the…
They charged money but not active for customer?
Are we a joke to them?

As I wrote in another thread, laptop owners may have probable solutions. If you sure that your CPU supports AVX and game crashes aren’t connected with it, you may disable integrated v-card in the device manager. It helped me. Another users said that it may be effective to disable sound card, drivers and applications. Some of them really work if the point is not AVX. That’s all that I could find.
Sorry for my English.

Not working for me as well… Have a mid range laptop, and cant run the game… Hope there is a solution soon…

Thanks Bsodman.
I did tried disabled the graphic card or sound card, issue not fix at all.
It just turn the error message from unexpected error to not meet requirements. After my switching on again the AMD graphic card, the same unexpected error message appeared again.
I’m using a Mac with i7, 16GB memories and AMD R9 M370X graphic card, it should be way more beyond the requirements.

Really feel we customer is a joke to Blizzard.
Since this is already a “beta-tested” game, it is not acceptable to let such an obvious bug happens;
And the tech supports are also not helpful,
I’ve submitted my ticket over 48 hours and still receive no response, but it mentioned the expected response time is 24 hours…

Paid for the game and cannot even launch, submitted ticket for support and no response at all.

I cannot see how Blizzard care about customer journey buy only want to earn money.
I guess the only solution is to ask for refund?

Same issue here. Hardware is capable. Deleted Battle.net folder. No avail. Time is ticking Blizzard. you owe your customers bigtime.

It seems to be the CPU AVX support issue.
You all have to wait an update to fix that.

same here. at first, i had the do-nothing play button. after un update, this changed to a black window who crushes into a ´the application has encountered…´. did everyting i could find on net and nothing. i found people who played the beta correctly, and now they have the same problem. i have an i7, 16ram, geforce970 gtx. so sad… i even pre-ordered the game to support the remaster work and i receive this in change. opened 2 tickets days ago with no answer, of course. is too much to ask to play the game you´ve payed for…

I have the same problem.
I check my CPU G4560 don’t support AVX.
That so bad.
but Beta game i can play Why?

Hi Korgoth,

My device is a i7 CPU and I’ve checked it support AVX.

I’m also get this problem
Can galax geforce GT 1030 play this game?

Yep, I have a similar system with a GTX 960, and while the beta ran without crashes (just some rubberbanding), the release version crashes left and right. It seems the devs removed the beta guard rails to speed up performance for the live version/benchmark tests. I also noted that this seems to happen particularly on Nvidia cards.
