Anyone else who would love to have the /players 8 feature in online games to help with the drop chances of certain items.
Yes, it will help. If it is possible offline then why not online?
They should add a solo selffound ladder and enable the command only for those characters. In trade it would change the amount of items available and destroy the economy for casual players.
they recently announced that they don’t want to implement /players command in online play, because it’s a multiplayer game.
Bei der Aussage musste ich dann doch herzlich lachen.
Ob Blizzard eigentlich noch ihre eigenen Aussagen zu ihren Games wirklich ernst nehmen?
People actually play in groups when they start fresh. As soon as they can do p7 solo they split and split farm in games to increase loot. They have a huge advantage and outfarm solo players. So increasing loot overall by adding the players command would actually change the experience for them.
Online mode is joke lobby only spammers and groups end 2 min after u join, or if it’s already ended ofc.
You want to play game online but instead of joining games with players like normal person you want to play alone with offline option. Why not just play offline then if finding people is that challenging for you?
I know people’s opinions differ but I like being able to trade. Sometimes I like playing with people and sometimes I like to solo farm. I don’t want to be locked into being solo always and have to build a whole new character + solo account just to do that.
I think they should do this because the only games <5 mins old with more than 2 ppl in them are people looking for a rush, so if you kill diablo or trav then you ruin their game.
Occasionally there are “i cow you mf” games, but they empty after about 5-10 mins which is only enough time to clear a couple of areas… (If you aren’t clearing then you might as well be in single player anyway)
You can trade offline. The offline single-player community has been trading for 20 years using either ATMA stashes (still supported in D2R through GoMule) or joining an open bnet game to use the trade screen (not supported anymore in D2R).
DiabloII.Net
, then PureDiablo
, and now Discord
, always had active SP communities, with trading forums and well maintained price tables.
There is no reason to play online if you are just going to play solo.
→ Season Ladder Ranking
→ Fresh Start
→ No option to create a new Seed everytime you start the Game ( The Map is always the same and you have to create a NM or Normal Game every time you want to start a game )
→ Solo Play but giving items to people who don’t have much time themselfes
→ Having a ‘legit’ character and forcing yourself to not cheat ( A lot of people in SP just uncheck death on hc characters and effectivly playing SC )
→ Having the option to swap to multiplayer at some point
→ Playing only with a small number of friends
There are quite a few reasons to play online
Sure there are! Only none that would justify bringing the players
command to the public trade servers.
Weird choice. How about “solo play and increase items you can trade with”? Because that’s the only real result coming out of this. Your example would be a tiny non representative percentage of the players. And the players command can’t do much for anyone wishing to share their loot with the “needy”, because the needy would use the command themselves, thank you.
You already can. Have your online characters for when you want to play with friends.
I am not arguing for players8 in normal online mode.
I already said i want it in a seperate solo selffound league where no trade is possible.
And i also used the exact same arguments you are repeating right now to explain why p8 would be bad to just implement it into the usual gamemodes.
That being said. P8 can be a part of online gameplay in a different environment. So it got nothing to do with online or offline.
Instead of fix online command they could improve online que system, lobby is joke atm.
I agree that if we can actually find the type of games that we want to join with other people this wouldn’t be much of a problem.
