For people who own multiple versions of the game it would be nice if we could also launch multiple instances of D2:R without using sandboxing, etc.
It is possible to launch multiple BNet instances to log in with different BNet accounts and it’s also possible to launch multiple instances of other BNet games. It would be great if it would be easier to play with multiple accounts for D2:R too without using workarounds.
This would be no change to the gameplay of D2 since people are using multiple accounts to rush themselves etc. since early D2
on bnet 2.0 you usually need 2 different machines to not break TOS on “multiboxing” and get your account(s) banned
i play 2 acc on 2 diferent machines at once, that way i don’t break anything in TOS and can help my chars.
Neither a virtual machine nor switching user accounts on the same machine are getting your accounts banned in BNet. Only if you are using tools which enable you to move the characters with the same mouseclicks and other automation tools are against the TOS. VMs and different user accounts is the same as using different machines. Though when playing D2 I was also using two different hardware machines. And being selfish, buying a second computer just for D2:R seems a bit over the top to me.
