Allow free and easy skill reset

I am levelling my characters normally, I am not joining games and am not getting rushed to Baal Hell.

As I am going through the levels I would much appreciate the option to reset my skills very easily, without the Akara-once-per-difficulty or the “loot random drops from Hell bosses” palavar.

I believe you should be able to reset your skills at a push of a button at any stage of the game.

The alternative many times is staying in town and getting rushed to Hell Baal. This is not a good alternative does not make for a good game. Not every D2R player wants to be level 90 and run Pindleskin (bots) straight from the character creation screen.

You have per difficulty one time the free reset by act1 ashara. When you finished the quest, she offers reset your points totally.
I played until nightmare with not so good and well thought skill points and when I finished normal, I came back reseted my points and talents and now can start with much better organized skills in nightmare.
But be sure, such reset like d3, never will be or should be. This makes the difference between a character building rpg and a arcade racer killing flowers and ponies.

Please dear devs, don’t change anything about skill reset. In diablo 3 it was soo boring to be able to switch skills almost on the fly. D2R is fantastic as it is.

Well and i believe that D2 should not have respec at all as it was  Also original rune drops would be nice, coz now they dropping too offten. Respec as high rune drops were imlemented bcz game was rly old and since only HC fans played it and not many newcomers they decided to make their life easier - not have to create new char for each build, making RW much faster since there were much less players ingame. I actually stopped playing due to these two things to be honest.

You can respec once per difficulty in ACT1 after Q1 at akara and you can craft a “Token of absolution” for which you need 4 essences, 1 from Andariel/Duriel + Mephisto + Diablo + Baal.

This statement is pure nonsense. As a player is levelling up they have no idea about various skills and interactions, and how it might all work out (or not) in practice.

Let me remind you not everyone gets rushed to level 90, there are some players that want to play the campaign.

As there is no way to try things out in game, you end up having to read up on EXTERNAL websites and use EXTERNAL “planners”, or even make Single Player hacked characters to try things out.

If you really believe that having to run tests on D2LOD hacked, single player characters is the way to go, then you may also want to go back to 800x600.

Thats right you dont have a chance to just try and play up to some point where you already have a perfect char. And thats sad and i dont like this “external calculator” as well. its not part of the game and steals the fun of just try & fail.
I have the same problem at the moment and need to reset as i failed 1 reset due to wrong click. But i know i need to reset anyway soon due to better gear requiring more attrs.
But as long as i’m somehow nearly strong enough to reach & kill baal i wont reset ending with weaker char.

Imagine playing PvE and PvP, you are discouraged from the start.

yeah, imagine farming for a token for like 1 hour or so, you people these days only see instant gratification, with no work put into it, no wonder you jump from one title to another and have a joyless experience out of everything

No way. It’s the essence of Diablo 2. Go play another casual game. You can create new chars. Diablo 2 is this style - between rpg and die and retry.

Oh… this is a cold immune area - let me re-roll to Lightning. Oh This is a Lightning immune area - let me re-roll to cold. Oh, there is a magic immune wave, let me re-roll to zeal real quick.

This is BS. No free re-rolls. Period
