I don’t want to extend a lot but that must be changed. That old mechanic was intended for another purpose and nowadays is stupid to maintain it.
Relyin on selling 75-125 SOJs (a single player cannot get this) is stupid mechanic, and relying on some people capable to acumulate them via followers and affect the whole economy for this is even worse and more stupid.
It could be more rewarding about farming an item to create a new event to get the charm, or any other mechanic that don’t depends on some X people creating “events” on a programmed single player game.
EDIT:
People with damaged brain doesn’t realize that is not about of making it easier (i’m not talking about this), but changing the method so it won’t be an item “summoned by streamers” and manipulating economy with a valuable item like that.
As a dessigned single player game it’s a nonsense a mechanic like this when practically 0.000001% of players can acumulate 75-125 sojs, instead of the effort to beat some more difucult mechanic (actual dclone is a joke, and i have a pair of annis in HC).
Just admit that you have not enough wealth to buy an annihilus and want it to has much lower price.

if they cant be duped anymore the mechanic should change… if they can be duped… how do you do it? because cheating appears to be the only way to get one lol

you can live without annihilus, if it has become an even more exclusive item than before, that’s even better

It isn’t really Blizz’s fault that people are abusing the new summon mechanic with “events”, looking at the Twitch streamers, but as for making it easier to get for the rest of us I don’t think that is really justifiable unfortunately.
it doesnt have to be easier… I feel there just needs to be a more legit way to accomplish it

That still wouldn’t fix the issue though since loads of people have spare HR’s so they can band together and get an easy portal, honestly off the top of my head I cannot think of a way for them to change it without making it a lot easier.
they need to promote a non cheating way to obtain them imo.

besides taking that many runes out of the economy helps maintain their value… and if people pool their runes there is still only 1 drop… they would have to burn a lot of runes to get one for everyone involved

Just wait a year and you’ll be able to buy a perfect one for like 20 bucks… problem solved.

100% correct. As in D2R cannot dupe anymore (as I know), it’s a stupid mechanic this one.
The only thing that I was talking is about this and the 1st post is sure from some d2jsp user that pays fg to get a slot on some streamers “walk”.
