it works for first run, as that’s where the base damage of the endboss is mostly determined! second and ++ runs will not adjust their damage much.
I noticed, that enbosses adjust their damage to your defence, so …
Before i went in the building where Diablo houses, i portal-led back and took off all my fire resistance stuff. went back in again. Leaving firy enemy’s to my merc and runningh a way a lot i servived. When diablo entered, i portalled back home, took in all fire resitance stuff again and there it happened!! Diablo hardly wounded me and was killed in unther a minute!! Even my merc survived easely.
Bet this trick can be used on all endbosses and may be on entering buildings and even lvls.
This needs to be adjusted by Blizzard in a new patch soon!! Its too easy, but… well… if this works… we will use it aint it?
wonder why it was not placed in the forums before… Bet some guys have been doing very easy lvling in diablo II
unther 1 min is just to kill Diablo. with not that good gear even. needed no red or blue potions even, and merc survived easely also. think it will work on all first time runs on bosses. Gonna try how it will work on area’s like the second act with all that temples of tal rasha.
Hope Blizzard will adjust, so this trick will not work much longer…
That was clear, because with decent gear it shouldn’t take you more than max 10seconds.
I don’t think it’s that big of a deal.
Keep on playing and you will see that even a tal blizz sorc can clear chaos sanctuary and kill diablo under 3 minutes. Not even mentioning the new star, the Fohdin(without Enigma a little harder to reach this 3min threshold) in a p7+ game.
Just to have an ideea my Javazon can kill Diablo on p7+ in a couple of seconds.

Zaman, I dont believe that 10 sec. Maybe after lvlup 10 lvls and goin back. i am talking abouth first run. try it and see…
I played on NIGHTMARE and this was my gear :
genereal tan do li ga flail 2-56 damage. guilomes face def 217, Havoc Flange ancient (body)armor def 314, spirit crownshield def 38, cruwel touch demonhide gloves def 68, viper lash demonhide slash def 30, rite of passage demonhide boots from the 'disicple’set, def 54. so not bad, but not realy very good gear. only 2 to all skills from the spirit shield.
normally i would need many potions and would have problems to stay alive

I get a notification i have not logged in for more then 30 days, while i have been playing every day for many hours. logged in thios forum etc.

I do not know where does that comes from, but it is clearly not how it works. Unlike Diablo3 there is no link between monster stats/Attack defense … and your character defense/level or whatsoever

Whatever comfort you (Teddy bear, run naked in front of diablo …) it is ok but do not spread misinformation on game mechanisms that are very very very well known.
My javazon kills Diablo on Hell player 1 in max 3 charged strike hits.

You noticed wrongly, they dont. Why even defense lol? Diablo has mostly deadly elemental and Physical dmg as part of elemental spells. Defense has zero effect on that.
Your statement are consfusing, why do you suddendly talk about resistance gear?you talked about defense before.
If you stand in his face his lightning hose skill does nothing on nm and hell. Its a bug. It has nothing to do with what you have or had on your char. Try step away from him and it will damage you alot.

sorry i couold not answer you for a few days.
Then, i tryed on other bosses ON TEH FIRST RUN. before entering the place they spawn, portal out, take defensive gear / resistances that matter ( Diablo = fire resistance) ( for Diablo you have to fight up through the casstle , so i only took off fireresistance), go in and have the bos(ses) spawned. AFTER THEY SPAWN portal out and put all the gear back on. Then it will be easy to beat the bos on your first run.
Sorry if that was not clear. I am talking of >>first run<< on a endbos, it does not work on going back in a second ( or more ) time.
It works as i told here. you can try it on a firts run on any boss. And no, my merc was also hardly wounded!! normally he is dead in a few sec!! so its not that bugg.
So try it with a char that is gonna fight a lvl endboss FOR THE FIRTS TIME, and see how easy it goes…
Blizzard should solve this and make it not work anymore, because its to easy…
Here is the game Mecanism. Monster are spawn by a specific server function that is run once. It does not take into account past event (when you entered the place they spawn are irrelevant) or player related characteristics.
By the way all game mechanism is based on instant moment and never take into account historical or passed informations
For all monsters, Characteristic are in monstats.txt file and the only change of the charac is done upon MapLevel with monlvl.txt → Absolutely nothing relating to players.
This function is well known you should find a complete description on internet.
Learn the mechanisms if you want to understand how the game works.
sorry, but you cannot tell me that what i experienced is not true by telling me some theoretics . I experienced it the way i describe this in a game!!!

sorry, but endbosses react differently on different chars wirth different gear.
What I EXPERIENCE is, that bosses power is adjusted to the char fighting them, on the moment they spawn. so by putting on stuff at a later time, DOES NOT MAKE the boss change anymore. so yes he is formed on the stats of his opponent ( my paladin) on the moment he spawns !!
This is the mechanism i notice on fighting bosses and used the way i describe, fighting bosses ( FOR A FIRTS TIME of your current difficulty) is way too easy.
Maybe historical past information abouth the char should be taken in account and compared with current stats, and on to harsh differences should be adjusted , to stop this mechanism!!
I hope Blizzard is gonna solve this!! I dont like that this is working!
