I’ve looked on youtube for any vids that may help but they all say conviction but the aura doesn’t seem to do much for my pally and was wondering what other aura might benefit a FoH build?
I know it’s still early days after patch 2.4 but I’m not sure what aura to invest in. I don’t need the meditation aura at the moment as my merc has insight (I did have a reapers toll but gave it to my sorcs merc).
Any thoughts on this?
Sanctuary honestly is good now or you can combine foh Pala with smiter so fanaticism.
I did a test solo lvling with FOTH and doing this progress surely the conviction helps alot since the ligthing part is your solo damage source. doing demon/undead farm the ligthing is ofc still a much smaller part. and ligthing immunes, even when broken immunity still remains so high resist that the damage is absurdly low. i think the argument for going hybrid smite, with some points into fanatisme. and then running FOTH+santurary is pretty good( especisally for chaos farm since you can skip alot of resists vs the cursing mages. and get mf). however doing leveling i can not see how you can get any meaningfull damage to smite, while the holy bolt and FOTH takes alot of points. my perspective is a clean start with no items stashed. My conclution is lvl with full holy fire(shop +3 scepter) and dump extra points into resist fire. this will get you thru normal with 0 issues. and being able to farm cowlevel at Max run speed( oneshot all screen). over farm here abit to get alot of gear ( atleast lvl 35, maby 40). then do NM. you can easy play thrue act 1, but act 2 it starts suffering and i suggest switching to blessed hammer. if you want FOTH build/hybrid smite. switch after completing campain at lvl 80-85
My lightning dmg does not alot of dmg due to me not having high endgame gear so my HB does the majority of the dmg. I’ve got all synergies maxed out and FoH is not doing alot of dmg.
I tested my FoH build in CS Hell difficulty and HB carries me through it quite easily but FoH does nothing but pretty much tickle the monsters and drain my mana heavily even with meditation aura equipped.
well at player 1-3 Foth can clear ok. but higher player lvl nahh. guess the take of it, max Foth for holybolt synergy and clearing randoms. stick to holy bolt and smite for damage, holy bolt does clear pretty well when your able to line up targets. the end question is why do the hassle and just spec blessed hammer
BH to me (I do have another pally that uses BH build) feels very squishy in most areas due to close spaces. I do what most people tell me but it doesn’t feel right. I do like the new HB/FoH build but without the expensive gear, it just feels slightly underpowered. Still, it’s a fun build and I enjoy playing it which is what I look for.
Would you say that the Smite combo is mainly for bosses? I only ask as I wipe the floor with all bosses on Hell, it’s just the mobs that I have to hit and run and hit again.
in general when incountering mobs that are not demons or undead aswell
FOH need conviction , i have make a new hybride smiter foh just after this 2.4
very good dps this new FOH/smiter .
FOH NEED hight level skill i have 40 on skill foh but its the minimum 45 is recommended
use full item with skill add + charme combat skill ,5/6 is good.
