In another post you want to have personalized loot. Why do you play this “old game”, when modern game caters to your needs?
Diablo 2 is not focused on having a “main”. A main character that you play endlessly, a concept introduced with MMO games, and then Blizzard copied it to Diablo 3, with personalised loot, and drops only for your main character.
Diablo 2 is about having “an account”, you find gear that inspires you to make a new character. If you wan’t to do something specific, you make a char tha’s suited for it, get rushed and are soon ready to roll. You switch characters according to what you feel like doing, to keep the game fun.

That is no problem. I used to have many chars and now trying for forge my MF one. As far as I understand no chance beating ubers in offline with dual mentalist sorc. And I think next one will be online character, cause there are so many cool and kind players online now as far as I see on this forum
Because the modern game I want to be playing doesn’t have co-op yet. I am waiting for that. I have burnt out on all other ARPGs after thousands of hours so this is a filler for now. And I am not asking for PLoot for myself, as I am SSF. I ask for it for the good of the game and its community, especially newer players.
I have 12 active chars in D2R at the moment, 6 of them in Hell, 4 just about to hit Hell. I rarely stick to one char for more than a single night’s play. No sure what you are on about here. What has PLoot got to do with the number of chars you have and whether you consider one of them a “main” (I don’t, they are all my “main”).
Yea, there are always the blizzard fanboys (though I think some of them are stockholmed employees) who run to defend the company if you say anything that even sounds a little like critic. The mods tend to encourage it too which might be why blizzard can’t seem to figure out what to put in their games to get new players and keep more of the old ones.

I recommend Whitstan’s Guard.
You will hear a lot of ting ting ting.
With the below speeds your not doomed and stay alive quite well.
If you go FO and have many skill points left dump em in mana shield for when they do hit.
40% Faster Block Rate
+55% Increased Chance Of Blocking
I used this set up early d2 days when mana burn often resulted in dead sorc especially tele to throne.
Should still be viable but not sure necessary.
But if you want to try stuff out it is chep gear to test on
Eth Moser’s with Two Perfect Diamonds ( or if You got the money two Um’s preferably ) . You will get lots of use out of it before it degrades and its pretty cheap to get one . The higher ED the better. Its a tanky shield, gives huge res , and has decent block chance with low Strength Req (Eth items have 10 less Str and Dex requirement ) so You can pair it with like a 35% FCR Spirit crystal sword, magefists, a couple 10% FCR Rings and hit the 105% FCR BP . I only need 47 Strength to equip everything including my flickering flame Diadem, and I have an 11% all res GC with 6 Strength to cover some of the levels. Soon I’ll get an Anni and be able to reset my stats and put even less into Strength, allowing me to sink tons into vitality. Get FCR Rings with res and maybe a belt that has tri res and You can probly afford to swap out one of the p diamonds for something else, like perhaps a P Topaz for MF or a Fal rune for +10 Strength, allowing You to equip some items that might require around 53 strength.
