If they keep TCP/IP possible, there was no rage at all. You can play with your friend with your single player character and all can be fine. Now you are not even able to play game offline and wait in queue, so they are holding you at queue window - bastards.
I think people here forgets, You can play singeplayer, and honestly i prefer a queue over Server is down for hours because the amount of people playing is crashing the servers.

you want to play with your friends? play something else, Diablo was never a good play with your friends game, since you share loot. You can do so much better elsewhere for that experience. Or you can take that 10 minute queue and play with your friends if it is a must for you. At least you can play even if you have to wait a bit. Wastly better than the server is down, we have had this past week.
I have no problems with a 10 minute queue like you said, but reallity was far away from that this Weekend. In the morning i got lucky and only waited around 5 minutes → totally fine. But in the afternoon i needed 40 minutes and a friend of mine above an hour in order to join.
As for the rest of your post, i guess its not up to you to decide whether playing d2 with friends is something somebody might enjoy or not.

On other sites you can always see how many games someone has, even if you don’t have them friended, and whenever someone goes ballistic claiming they are done with the site and never using them again, I keep tabs on their count. Usually within a few months they are buying games again.

wtf is that kind of comment? diablo is an excellent co-op game and the loot system has no impact at all if u play with real friends.
its a fact that the core of the d2 fans will keep an eye on the game progression, waiting mouth-watering for the ladder. and when this day will come and the game is running fine, nobody will remember the starting troubles

You are fooling yourself. Give 1 reason to play with your friends in Diablo 2. Only reason to play it online is PVP, which sucks, and trading so you dont need to grind 10.000 lower kurast run for a ber rune or the like. Ohh and getting boosted by someone that already is high level. AS i said you dont really wanna do multiplayer because of the shared loot, and since the game is a looter game, you really dont wanna share with others. it’s not for fun D3 dont share loot. Because it discourage playing with others.

I think you have right about D2 R. I pay for this game because D3 was TRAGIC for me and expansion wasnt for my wallet. For me ? Blizzard W2 ,Starcraft ,W3 + exp ,D2 + exp Starcraft2. Then i buy D3 on priemiere and what ? TRAGIC !!! Ok shit happens…
