Blood Golem : Too much lifesteal now!

Just want to signal that the blood golem new stats seem pretty nice, but he’s now able to carry over too much lifesteal because he still has the same % of lifesteal with a lot more damage! So he heals himself easily and you rarely need to recast at all, and also he heals you too much too fast so it makes it a bit too easy to survive I think? Difficulty is important I think. This is my experience in NM right now.

NM is usually the easiest difficulty to play. I think you should hold on to hell and some 85 area to see if this still holds true.

Before patch blood golem that had only 1 base point and rest from the +skills died quite easily. If it could stay a bit longer alive that would indeed be great. Not seeing anyone investing 20 hard points to it in any case.

I dont think healing too much necro in hell is a problem tho. Necro can still be almost one shotted without bone shield, so good healing is welcome but not game breaking. CTA necro probably could tell if the healing is excessive, but normal necro wants all that he can get. :slight_smile:

With a bunch of points into blood golem, he is able to survive and solo most stuff in NM including duriel : / and anytime he gets to hit something he’ll heal you for a lot and there’s little tension so you can hardly die. I think it’s too easy now. Golem imo in NM has a bit too much life, and definitely too much lifesteal. It already had enough lifesteal before, now it has the same lifesteal with more damage so it heals itself and the player too much. But will see in hell. Still, important that NM isn’t easy imo.

Edit: definitely too strong for NM imo, it’s like i’m invincible. Even golem won’t die to most stuff if I do nothing, don’t need to recast him, if I ever take damage i’m instantly full healed if he hits something etc. Should imo decrease its life steal and probably its max life too. This is a blood golem with 9 skill points in it, 4 in golem mastery, 2 in golem resist, far from maxed. In fact i never needed to add points into it to adjust for many acts now even. Also I would add that blood golem was already not bad before, it was all about life steal rly. I used it on some builds.

You can’t say something is to strong if you haven`t tested it in Hell. NM is more or les the " ah shit here wo go again" -moment in every ladder.

now in A4 my lvl 52 nec isn’t invincible I think, but he still gets rather huge heal every time blood golem hits something he can lifesteal from. blood golem does die now if he solos some stuff although he’s just skill lvl 9. Probably ok but worth mentioning at least i think. Because whenever your summon can just solo mobs of your level or even a boss, that means you can only die for taking a lot of uneeded risk or even on purpose or it can be that you can’t even die even if you do nothing and stand in wrong place eh^^

The thing is that golem’s stats take a buff in NM and I assume again in hell, the way he is you barely ever need to even recast him which makes him a extremely mana efficient tank + healer which I think is a bit too easy for nightmare, maybe worth looking at it in normal again too. He doesn’t deal too much damage he just heals and survives too much. You could probably halve his healing and his max life in NM and he’d still be good i think. Also again I think it was already good before, just because it wasn’t used a lot doesn’t mean it wasn’t good i think.

NM is actually the easiest difficulty, because you just roflstomp everything with your now maxed and synergized main skill.

I think it’s true. Especially due to maxing some skill, or a lvl30 skill. There are ways to build without maxing a skill or its synergies that enables a more hybrid build that will make hell actually more soloable for example. Anyway NM is probably too easy. I think it would be nice to make NM harder really. Very nice even. And not easier : P I feel like the skills buffs are making it easier. But I have yet to see if it really enables more things to be viable in hell without making anything easy.

Anyway, the blood golem gets buffed stats for NM, they could be tweaked differently. There are always solutions I think. Difficulty wanted.

The entire game is relevant for balance tbh. Anyway nec ripped at 67 A5 NM due to server disconnection yesterday so somebody else can try it in hell^^ my next is ama for now.
My experience here was that blood golem gives too much lifesteal especially in A1 A2 NM giving your character close to invincibility if your resists are up, and also being a infinite tank against a lot of mob packs (since it also heals itself a lot and has a lot of life). It could have been the case in A4 A5 normal too I started noticing how i always got instantly fully healed in A2 NM. In A3 it started getting better and A4 A5 the blood golem itself started to die at times so felt better. Points in blood golem : 9, 4 in mastery, 2 in resist, 2 in clay.
Keep in mind he is not very hard to recast, so that’s an entire health + lifesteal duration for each recast then until you’re out of mana or he just actually does die fast enough. Ofc when your summons are too durable, you’re too protected cause you don’t have to make much effort to keep your defense up at any time. If summons ever deal too much damage also then you just autowin everything : P

In my opinion right now both normal and nightmare mode are probably a bit too easy.
