Cannot start the game

Just downloaded the game, but can’t get it to start. I just get an error message. I’ve tried all the various fixes (running as admin, running the repair, updating drivers, etc.)

I read somewhere else that certain CPUs don’t have the required AVX support, but I’m having trouble finding that information about my CPU.

I saw some talk about a fix rolling out Monday, but that thread was a week old so no idea if it’s out yet.

Specs:
Intel® Pentium® Processor G4620 (3M Cache, 3.70 GHz)
AMD Radeon RX 580 (8 gb)
8 GB RAM
Windows 10

There’s an AVX support bug in the games engine. CPUs that dont have AVX support won’t launch the game, they are trying to fix it but it’s a slow process because of it affecting the actual game engine

Have Blizzard actually said they are working on the AVX issue?

Well, yes and no.
They said they think they have a solution for it. But because it’s a bug in the actual games engine, they want to make sure they fix it without causing problems with other CPUs that aren’t affected with the AVX bug
