They look to maximize their income. Need to make their shareholders happy. They give literally a s*** about, if 1000~ ppl in the official forums are happy or not. thats the truth. so as i mentioned in another thread: i’m not happy about too, but why the hell should i waste my energy on this?
Not to mention, that with World of Warcraft I at least understand the issues they had in the beginning (like 15 years ago). Nobody was aware of the extrem amounts of players flowing in.
This here is a completely different story. Everything was pretty much clear and now is even more. Even the number of players were estimated upfront, otherwise the development would have never gotten green light in the first place. Now you even got them precisely.
That’s what a capable team of developers prepares a plan b for or a rollback. This is what happens to all software people all over the world every single day. It is just quite rare, that they are so disrespectful to their customers, to stay with it.
If you run into the same problem over and over again, expecting a different result, this is what is widely accepted as the definition of “stupidity”.

I´m waiting now for an hour to play the game. Since i just bought it, i can´t even play it offline, so to anyone considering buying this game, don´t do it. The developers don´t give a shit about the players.
In 1 Hour i got from place 180 in the line to place 125, hooray for the scammer company.
im sure in this situation i will use it and keep blizzard servers untouched now i can play singleplayer which i didnt 20 years ago… if i know this i will never buy this.
What a shame… I am uninstalling D2 because of this. Do they really expect us to wait in a queue for an hour? Really? We were all here to have some sort of nostalgia anyway, we are not that desperate. If only we could get a full refund…

I fully agree! I have been playing since part I came out. Been always a big fan of Diablo. So I was really interested and - of course - paid ages in advance for Diablo II resurrected. But what did I get? A game which is not playable… been kicked out so many times - I really lost my rag! Now patched… what happens? I want to play… and I am on rank 300+!!! Are you serious??? But - I waited, wanted to play… I finally managed to get into the game. What happend? Nothing! Had to wait ages that I could open my chest, talk to anybody. Ah, finally it worked - and than I got kicked out!!! Tried to log in again - FRICKING waiting line again! I have given up! Sorry - we had to pay so much in advance - what did we get for our good money??? Nothing! I did not manage since start of Diablo II resurrection to play longer than 30 minutes!!! Usually I am kicked out before! This sucks. You dont seem to care about your customers, do you? You ask months before for the payment - but you offer a non-playable game! WHY??? I am not sure if I will buy the next part of Diablo, even though I have waited patiently for such a long time. I am really upset about all that and cannot understand that you are not able to get a smoothly running game! Even with the original part II of Diablo - using an old 286 later 386 computer - the game was running fine! And that you are not able to get it running smoothly… makes me wonder what “specialists” you got! Sureley - no competence is shown!!!

Bots used to just crap on the trade system. Now they are crapping on our ability to play the game.
yep but i totalle understand them. Because queue is not working at all… 20 minutes in queue and “cant connect” appears and i stay at offline.
there are barely any functioning bots out there, yet plus this time around you dont get to burn through throwaway accounts like on old Bmnet. get caught botting, say byebye to ehole Blizzard/Activision games.
WIll there be botting? sure but imo it wont get anywhere near classic D2 levels
