Can't play, because server is full ... are you nuts?

Hi, just waiting for 20 Minutes already in order to play a fu**ing SOLO GAME. Are you guys nuts? Didn’t you already fail hard enough over the past months as a company?

So now you wanna force me as a legacy player interested in just going for a round good old Diablo (which was already too expansive anyways) in an online mode and think this is smart?

Please give me a full refund, this is a pure rip-off.

The queue is for online. You can play solo whenever you want just press esc to close the queue.

I know, but my char is already online because I would have never ever expected, that I could end up in a queue at some point in time IN DIABLO. Especially, when I am not even interested in playing online. Additionally, an offline char can not even play with friends, but is forced to always play solo. It’s completely crazy. Really not sure which (not so much) genius came up with this logic.

Lol, why you have online chars then?! Makes absolutely no sense. When you never ever wanna play online, go for offline, easy as that.

Bit short sighted, what do you think? Of course I want to play online with friends, who doesn’t. But I am not interested in all the rest, arena, whatever there might be. Allow me to play with friends from my friends list and we are all good. Just the way it always was in Diablo.

Well, then you have to swallow the queue for now. And hope they gonna fix the issues fast as possible.

I’m not amused too about this, but this raging which is going on atm is pathetic.

Well I am seeing it exactly the opposite. Making this change was pathetic in the first place. Especially, because all variables were quite clear, up to the amount of players. Considering the costs of hardware, such as servers, makes it even more ridiculous. Then create two worlds if you cant code your game to balance and ask people to queue in case they want for whatever reason to join one specific instance. This company makes (and earns a lot) from games for centuries and makes mistakes like a freshly setup games studio.

I dont disagree with you. Its really pitiful how blizzard handle this. But its the way it is now. And this will stay exact this way. Doesnt matter whats going on in the forums.

Why i should waste ANY energy on this?

And btw, i dont presume to judge how they handle the intern technical things. I’m no IT technician. So it wont makes sense to guess arround why they do things like they do. And im PRETTY SURE 95% of the guys raging in forums arent technicians either.

I’m a IT technician…
If I handled things like Blizzard has done here at work , I would be jobless…
EG: Make a statement about the shit show towards the paying customers only like 6 days later with no ETA.

And with the state of the product being like this 26 days later…
If this was Hearthstone, COD, Overwatch or any other title that’s like a MTX Lootbox cow… the issues would be resolved at least 5 times faster… or wouldn’t exist at all.

But queue is not working anyway 1 hour in queue and 5 times “cannot connect” at the end :stuck_out_tongue: imho blizzard should stop selling this game because this is pure scam
if they keep “TCP/IP” there will be no problem now

There will be the same problem, cause most of the ppl will play in the bnet.
TCP/IP was removed BECAUSE barely anyone used it.

to remove TCP/IP was the big mistake! and everyone I know still uses it. Because you are able to create Multiplayerchars and plye both: solo and online with your friends. So the 20 year old version has more fetures than the new one! And the new Version is even more expensive (at least here in germany), than it was 20 Years ago!

I see you in a lot of topics, and the more I see you post, the more convinced I am you never actually played D2 when it was current.

TCP/IP was heavily used, as was Open Bnet. For example, most, if not all mod servers run on TCP/IP connections. Mods are one of the main reasons D2 lived for as long as it has, Median XL, Path of Diablo, PD2 etc.

Removing TCP/IP not only hurts the players who want effectively a ‘Group SSF’ environment to play with ONLY their friends group, but it has effectively killed any chance for multiplayer mod support.

Have i spoken about mods? Can’t remember.

Ya, Open Bnet was a really really nice place…lol…not. Not if you wanna play this game legit.

Well yes, you are talking about TCP/IP, the connection protocol that multiplayer mods require. You claimed that barely anyone used it, which is a demonstrably false statement.

It’s like telling customers “we got your money - now fuck off, just be glad that we still let you play solo”.
…It’s the first time i’m excited about poe new season really. Maybe it’ll help me drown my regret of dragging friends into paying money for this shitshow.

there are no such mods for D2R. Sure, maybe there CAN be such mods, if there is a TCP/IP. But FOR NOW it wont make any change! That was my point.

This x 100

Why are Blizzard tolerating such incompetent employees? No other software house does.

Last week I couldn’t play because the servers were down. This week I cant play because there is a queue that isn’t moving and I am in position 270.

And this is at 3pm on a Tuesday.

PATHETIC.

This is not an improvement.

If i understand right your position, correct me, if i am wrong, we must swallow every piece of … which blizzard throw to our face. And we, people, who paid full price for not an indie title, but AAA game from big studio, cant even argue about that. I quess, blizzard can sleep safe with such a players, maybe, they bring a montly fee like WoW, that you can pay and stay in the queue.
