These last 2 days playing in Harcore mode and losing the connection, 2 people have died, one level 51 and the other level 15, finding myself in places where there are no enemies. I would like to know what is the reason or if it will continue to happen when I lose connection, do people die no matter where one is?

Same here 10 days ago my sorc 85 died with 2,2k life @ Meph hell after get Connection Lost, she remain in game for about 2 mins the other guy in game didn’t receive that error. Today playing with my GF in same room but not same internet connection (one wired one mobile) she get Conn Lost me not she remain in game for about 1 minute + before her character leave the game, in last 10 day i received more than 20 Conn Lost. Its not from my internet connection. Problem appears to many others players & Blizzard response after long time i make ticket its they don’t really care about this. When i asked why when conn lost occurred character don’t leave the game room immediately the give me this:

To answer one of the questions directly: disconnecting does not immediately remove the character from the game, as it can take several minutes for the actual uplink to be severed. Additionally, even if an immediate separation would be possible this could encourage people to sabotage their internet connection when things get heated within the game - that is not something that would be desirable. Beyond that: once a harcore character has died, there is no way to bring them back - not even for us."
Ok but when i use Save & Exit or Alt + F4 character leave game instantly (if things “heatup”) so i don’t need to sabotage my internet connection, but even my internet connection go down character will be instantly disconnected. So they don’t want to admit their server side / game problem.
I just lost my lvl 27 Bowazon in act 5 in the same situation It just threw me out of the game in act 5 I didnt even see her take damage or ANYTHING!!! As I was aproaching a boss group it simply disconected me from the game it said due to connection issues, then the selection screen was apparently bugged because it was showing me a live hero with armor equiped yet when I tried to press the [PLAY] button I was shocked to get the message “A dead Hardcore character cannot join or create any games” and I have a screenshot of the glitched screen should anybody care. Tried contacting customer support, they dont care I can confirm this, on the support process it only game me the standart “Try the following: We can’t restore deleted characters or gear in Diablo II: Resurrected. We apologize for the inconvenience.” Basically this is Blizzard saying “hey we dont care how you lose your hardcore character, we arent going to revive it because we dont care” Great, thanks Blizzard!
Very, very frustrating I had good gear on her transfered over and out of my 19 hardcore characters that I have lost the 19th one was the very first one that I have lost in this way. Like I didnt even get tosee what happened, didnt see her take damage or ANYTHING! Just a disconnect and a dead hardcore character later, I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later I guess but at least with ALL OF MY OTHER hardcore character AT THE VERY LEAST I could ACTUALLY SEE HOW THEY DIED, with this one I didnt even get that! At this point I am seriously considering quitting hardcore for good. Its just not worth it. Especially if you lose your character in this idiotic way, my highest Hardcore character was level 53 can you imagine disconnecting and losing a character leve 70 or 80 or 90 or 95 or 99? I dont even want to imagine, the rage I would feer after putting so much work into a character then simply discconnecting to then to your shock finding out ALL OF THAT PROGRESS has been lost forever and you dont even get an option, to see how your character died. I would be livid.
Same just happened. Lv 80 Necro -disconnected-dead. Their terrible excuse about manipulation has been the same forever. Doesnt matter how many characters you lose due to server disconnects its still a kick in the balls.
