Please impove it to make it like D3, or somewhat better than the actual system.
For example, if I want to talk with one friend, the chat is set to that channel, so i can no longer read the in game chat. I had to manually change the channel so I can read what’s going on in the game again.

Chat system totally does suck the way it is rn. It’s not “good old d2 days” since the way it’s set up right now is as far from “good old d2 days” as you can get. Chats are dead because it’s sharded and limited to smth like 40 ppl per Lobby.
yea chat is one of those QoL things that should have been improved, just like they did with shared stashes
I think it’s stupid how they spam the chat with things your character says when entering a new area etc also I often type stuff in sp just to test it and it doesn’t work

Typical idiot that you are. “If you like that then go do that”. Such a childish response. Obviously, chat is about QoL, not literally the same thing as the game itself. And plus, if you actually even played D2, you would know that the chat is nothing like the original D2. The reply system is absolute trash. Even in-game, there is a chat “box” and when you spam skills around that box area, it actually clicks on the chat so you can’t use skills when you click around the area by mistake. The whisper system is garbage too compared to before. I understand blizzard tried to make the chat connected to the account’s chatroom system but seriously, they could have made it much better than how it actually is. The chat system in the game really irritates me and if someone actually have to bring it up then don’t you think it’s actually a problem? Blizzard made tons of games and this is by far the dumbest one ever.
