I recently purchased a new computer and as I had been playing single player on D2R, I transferred the saved files from my old computer to the new one. The game loaded up just fine on new computer and I played a number of hours on it. However the next day when I loaded up the game again all the characters were back to their original progress from when I transferred the files. I checked the saved games folder and the date on them is still showing the date when I transferred from my old computer. Looks like D2R on my new computer isn’t making the changes on the existing saved files. Is Windows or antivirus software not allowing D2R to save changes on the saved files? I don’t have a clue how to resolve this, please help.

This issue may be caused by the fact that you don’t have Full Control permission on the new PC save folder which for Diablo II: Resurrected is: C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Saved Games\Diablo II Resurrected.
Check the folder Properties, you can find instructions on how to edit folder level permission on the Microsoft web articles online or directly searching for those with google or a similar search engine.

Thank you. I checked the folder and for some reason it was set to Read-only. Have rectified the situation. It is now saving as intended.
