Hey there,

Without any specific information about your system, setup or even what specific steps you have tried, the best the community can do here is offer some very basic troubleshooting. (Some of which you may have done)

You are welcome to try the following but if it doesn’t work, either reply with more specific information regarding your system, setup, connection or submit a ticket through the support site. (Click your name at the top of this page, click support, click contact support.)

Typically Windows is kept up to date automatically but there are many occasions where you may need to manually run Windows Update. In those cases you can go into Windows Update under settings or control panel and check for updates. If you are unable to check through Windows update, check out the FAQ here: Windows Update: FAQ - Microsoft Support

We want to make sure we have all driver updates as well. GPU, Network, Audio, Motherboard/system. All are important. Check with the makers of your system board or prebuilt system, along with the specific maker of your GPU (Nvidia, AMD, Intel) for updated drivers.

Try doing an extended power cycle on your system. Turn off all devices including the modem. Wait 30 minutes, turn on the modem, wait 5 minutes, turn on any network devices, wait 2 minutes, turn on your computer and try the game.

In some cases there is a corrupt or misconfigured setting within the router or modem. We cannot say what that might be offhand but the easiest way to resolve these conflicts would be to factory reset the router and/or modem.

You may need to look up your specific model for the steps on how to do this and in some rare cases you may need to have this done by the ISP. Feel free to reach out to them for assistance if necessary.

Let’s reset the in game user options:

  1. Right click Windows Start, Open File Explorer
  2. Navigate to C:\Users'Windows User Name’\Saved Games\Diablo II Resurrected
  3. Delete the Settings.json file
  4. Empty the Recycle Bin.

Try running your system in selective startup mode: Blizzard Support - Closing Background Applications

Create a new administrator account: Blizzard Support - Creating a New Administrator Account

Once the account is created, shut down the computer, wait 60 seconds, restart, log into the new profile and try the app/client.
