what im doing wrong? Tried to make a Crescent Moon and got this instead:

+2 TO MANA AFTER EACH KILL
SOCKETED (3)
I guess you use a blue/magical item.
Runewords only works in a grey item.
If possible post a screenshot from your axe.
If it were magical, it would have other mods but there are only those from the runes.

As I suspected you used a magical item. You can see it by the blue item name.
The 3 sockets were the mod, you can see it by the “Artisan’s” affix.
I definitely think it was simple grey socketed before but as i have no proof, i have to accept your solution. Thanks for the help. One UM less…
I can assure you that is not a bug and you just used a magic (blue item) even speedrunning professionals make that misstake when shopping 2 socket staves at Akara. Be happy that you only paid an Um for the lesson
