I can’t start the D2R game. Has there been an update?
I received a game update when I finished a game session at the start of the week and cannot play now. Raised a ticket with support and they have me doing the usual, flush DNS, fire wall, updates etc. I have even tried .NET fix, uninstalled the game and downloaded battlenet launcher too then reinstalled the game. I have a missing DLL file error but either the game has just started using this file and not installing it or the update has deleted it.
So they keep closing the support ticket and I keep opening it and they are not addressing/acknowledging the update (worst game of ping pong ever.)
Oh and just to embarrass blizzard support even more, when I raised the original ticket, I stated D2R.. which we all know is Diablo 2 Resurrected, purchased from their store..
Support guy started rambling on about Diablo IV servers.
I will keep up the good fight and hope others who have the same issue do the same.
It’s working now. The Scan & Repair function helped
i also have this issue …and im not surprised blizzard dont address the problem and instead blame it on your pc or whatever.
i need to go back the normal version of diablo 2 im done buying anything from blizzard

Blizzard - please fix this problem. It is a problem in your end. I have also done all the tips and tricks in your own guide supplemented with suggestions on this forum, and the game still doesn’t work.
8 days later and I too am unable to start the game. I get a CTD just after the character selection screen.
how did you even open a ticket? they keep redirecting me to the support articles or the forums to “ask the community”
