Hello everyone, I’m new to diablo 2 and I don’t know if this is normal. At the start of the game I wandered towards the right side of the camp and exited the camp just to explore then called it a night. The next day I logged in, and the right side of the map was blocked off and I could not exit the camp from there. I could only exit from the top portion of the camp. Then i reloaded, and now I can only exit through the bottom side of them camp (the bridge over the waterfall). Is this normal? Doesn’t seem like it to me. I know there’s supposed to some maintenance around 10:30AM PDT. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
if you are playing in online mode each time you create a game a map is randomly generated so the exits can change.
Oh, well that seems kind of short sighted. What if the party needs to do a quest that’s randomly blocked off?
Well, thanks for answering my question. I guess i’ll play in offline mode so nothing gets randomly blocked off.
you can never be blocked off, or I don’t really get what you mean.
The map is random gen man. but its always the same general location names. The layout changes so you cant just memorize the way. Only a few areas in the game dont use that mechanic.
I guess I’m not explaining the problem correctly. You know how there are multiple exits from the camp? Top, right side and bottom side. Whenever I login, only one option is available to me.
For example, I had to do the first quest and clear our that Den of evil camp or whatever. The bridge was not there to go towards the bottom side of the map. It was just a bunch of rocks that blocked the way. I could only exit the camp from the top, and there was no other path for me to traverse towards the bottom. I had to exit and reload the map multiple times until the bridge spawned so I could go towards the bottom of the map.
But this is normal?
act 1 camp always has only one exit, just keep going you don’t need a bridge, just always look for the next exit.
Oh, that’s a strange design choice. Alright, I’ll continue on with my noob-self.
Thanks for you time!
