Which is the fastest build for Baal and his waves WITHOUT enigma or infinity?
I would say cheapest and fastest would be Blizz Sorc…with a reaper toll merc. You can snipe the wave 2 minions quite fast with him.
Hammerdin… Just farm Herald of Zakarum, Harlequin Crest and Wizardspike from Meph and you got a pretty solid setup for running Baal… By the time you got those 3 items you probably also got Magefist and Vipermagi. Yeah it sucks not to have Enigma or teleport but it isn’t that hard to run with a Hammerdin since you should have 20 Vigor. Thundergods Vigor drops all the time at Meph too and is an amazing belt to survive the running down to Baal because of the lightning absorb.
Yes fastest at lowest level is how i make my sorcs, till they hit 75
A fully geared Tal Blizz Sorc with torch, ani, and full charms can do baal fairly quick(even wave 2) in a p+5 game. I didn’t say it’s the fastest…but the best compromise. Fairly cheap…fast enough without Enigma and Infinity as the OP said.
At the moment i have a hammerdin and blzzard sorc. Both with medium gear. With hamnerdin the way to baal is quite tough, because i have to get to close distance to let the hammers spin, but waves and baal are easy. With sorc the way to baal is easy, but the waves rather tough because of cold immunes. Any tips what i can do?
Continue with your sorc. Get a reaper toll(eth ideally) on your act 2 might merc, a treachery and a vgaze, until you transition into infinity/fortitude/andy vis and he should deal with the act 2 cold immunes. Just snipe them with tp.
Yeah you shouldn’t fight with the Hammerdin just put Vigor on and run like a devil

Farm with the Blizz sorc until you can afford Enigma. Hammerdin will shine after it gets it. I also started with a Blizz sorc…Smiter was used for torches. Sorc was efficient in P5+ games doing tunnels/trav/meph/chaos. After getting Enigma respected smiter into Hammerdin until infinity and griffon than respeced into Lighting sorc.
But everything started with the blizz sorc.

end of game is a hammerdin, if you want to do the constant baal runs to lvl up.
But once you realize that the sorc can singularly take out the boss quicker by teleporting in orb/blizz then moving onto another game, then its a no brainer.
I make specific chars to do a certain task
Sorc 300-400 mf just to get magic find or slightly less to key run (fastest method imho)
Uber Smyter - to do ubers of course
Ribcracker druid - lmao just for the fun factor of making it a challenge to do mini ubers
you get an auto +1 like in D2 if you play anything but another hammerdin
