Frigid Highlands Waypoint

The whole area around Frigid Highlands Waypoint needs to be forbidden for monsters to spawn, especially in Hell. In the Legacy game that was kinda okay, but in Resurrected where the Loading screen is taking too long once per every several games, you load already dead surrounded by monsters. I lost a half on hour of play worth of experience and some gold… but I can’t imagine some HC player loosing their whole game progress over the fact that your game loading screen is taking too long. I understand the loading screen is different for everyone, depending on their PC/console, but you can at least optimize some areas around the waypoints. Please consider this issue!

You would think if the game was loading the monsters simply wouldn’t be able to move because they are loading too. Obviously, this isn’t the case. It’s just a simulated load screen that seems to be getting some people killed. I don’t think any serious HC players will be losing to that because they need to prioritise survivability anyway.

Please fix this. Sometimes there are nearby monsters and you spawn with some life lost and even in some rare occasions you are already sorrounded by monsters when you appear in that waypoint.

  1. Simple fix is to make sure you’re in act5 town before you Goto that WP
  2. Having a fast SSd/NV2 and a good internet speed drastically saves time
  3. Don’t go to WPs where you are weak and can be 1 shotted.

Additional tip - get a good merc
my merc usually kills all the mobs before I get there

It’s a well known problem. Even with high end computers and obviously ssd’s you can be stuck in long loading screens up to a minute. They should look into it and do what OP is asking for. There is no need to have monsters attacking you while your character is stuck in a black screen. Also the game has some kind of a memory leak problem. After a while the performance gets worse and worse and the only way to fix that is to restart the client.
And yes a lot of people died to that WP in hardcore but also to other areas where you are stuck in loading screens like TP’s.
