After pressing Launch button game crashes with error message “Failed to initialize graphics device. Please ensure your PC meets the minimum system requirements and your drivers are up to date”.
I have an old PC with inegrated videocard and discrete graphic card Radeon HD 7570, Core i7-2600 and 16Gb RAM, Win10, DirectX 12.
I know my graphic card is outdated, but since i can play retail and classic WoW and D3, is it possible that the reason of issue could be the game trying initialise integrated graphic card instead of discrete?
In D2:R folder I’ve found blz-log.txt file containing:

у меня тоже самое, при запуске выскакивает окно и пишет что ошибка инициализации графического драйвера, хотя у меня все последние драйвера стоят. Даже не знаю что делать толи игра толи комп виновны.

Мужики я все же смог запустить д2, в установленной папке где игра нашел файл exe. для д2 и в свойствах совместимости поменял с виндовс 8 на виндовс 7 и на настройке совметимости с виндовс 7 норм запустилось. Так же поставил галочку на запуск от администратора. Пробуйте мож кому поможет. Так же сделайте совместимость с виндовс 7 на самом батл нете,так как если запускать с батл нета то не запустит. 2 файла делайте совместимость с вин7

Мне не помогло, а так ты прав. Вся проблема в AVX

тоже самое -ошибка инициализации графического адаптера ,уже переустановил все что можно и толку ноль

It seems that your graphics card is below the Minimum Requirements for Diablo II: Resurrected and this is why you are seeing issues. It also has much older graphics drivers available to it compared to the listed AMD minimum card. 
i have a i5-3570k 24gb ram and a gtx 980 and i get the same message

Сегодня загрузил обновление, игра начала хоть делать попытку запуска, обрадовался, но ненадолго, “Failed to initialize graphics device”. Вот это работа отличная, а до выхода нельзя игру было протестировать?!

все игры близов работают нормально, а тут вылетает ошибка… чет не верится что требования у д2 намного выше

I own a Nvidia Geforce RTX 2070 ti graphic card (with drivers updated!) and a Intel Core( TM) i9-9900K CPU processor(R) but i can’t launch the game. I got the message “failed to initialize graphic device”.
Is Nvidia RTX 2070 ti worse than Nvidia GTX 660 that is the minimum requiremente for the game? Checking in internet it seems me that my graphic card have better performances.

Do not launch the game from battle.net.
Check the game .exe in your hard disk and launch it as administrator.
For me it worked fine.

Guys, Remember back in D2LOD days? You could even play the game on a hamster wheel pc. The driver allowed for software rendering?
Imagine billion dollar corporations not bothering to make their last hope at defending dead franchise and publish this garb. Cant even log a refund as they happen to be having technical difficulties this past month for people claiming refund…
