Game download stuck at 99%

My game refuses to download completely. I’m just seeing “1.52MB remaining” and it won’t go any further regardless of what I do.

I’ve tried the following steps already:

  • Restarted Battle.net launcher
  • Restarted the download
  • Rebooted my computer
  • Used the launcher’s “Scan and Repair” feature, didn’t help either

Any suggestions how can I get around this problem?

I have the same issue. And it was exactly the same during Beta, had to get a friends D2R folder from his FTP server.

Any fix for this would be appreciated.

I am having the same issue tried even uninstall both battle.net and the game with fresh re installs - no luck so far and stuck at 99%

What files did you need to make it work? I might have to do this then

I had to get his entire D2R folder and replace that one with mine.
Took a while to download but, my computer has been running since yesterday and it’s still at 99%.

But I read a lot about people not being able to play due to crappy servers so I might now have missed muched…

me too, same problem D2R stuck at 99%, 481.92kb Left Remaining, no Game Master Reply yet ?? to solve this problem ??

im having this SAME ISSUE. it stops at 235 kg left. if i pause and unpause it completes itself but when pressing on start, my game crashes. HELP

Have the same problem. 247 kb left and no progress.
Tried also several things:

  • Restart Download
  • Reinstall Battle.net launcher
  • Use repair Tool of the Battle.net launcher
  • Deactivate Firewall and Anti-Virus-Software
  • Switch from WLAN to LAN for more stable connection

Nothing works out. When there ist about 10GB left to download, a new file in directory \Diablo II Resurrected is created…BlizzardError.exe

Same results on my Laptop

Same problem. Stuck at 99 % left 247.Kb ((

Try the following:

  1. Press windows key + R > Type %programdata% > Click OK > Delete the Battle.net and Blizzard Entertainment folders

  2. Press windows key + R > Type %appdata% > Click OK > Delete the Battle.net folder

  3. Press windows key + R > Type %localappdata% > Click OK > Delete the battle.net and Blizzard Entertainment folders

Make sure to right click and run the Battle.net App as Administrator and then try it again. You may need to redirect the download to you Diablo II folder.

just tried it and it DOES NOT WORK!

Install stuck at 99% with around 130kb remaining, I used the pause option and then unpaused and installation completed. Not sure if this will work for any of you but worked for me.

Good for you. In the meantime, various patches will be released … and you can save yourself a lot, not only waiting, but also anger.

Does not work for me ether. Still the same…247,10 kb left to download for over an hour.
There was no problem with the OpenBeta Version…download and installation with no problems

Worked, thank you!!!

Hi Guys,
I had this exact same problem… The above also didnt work for me.

I had to connect to a VPN (Montreal) I reside in Australia.

This fixed the download problem after I Scanned and Repaired.

After Download completed and Updated. I uninstalled the VPN manager. Then relogged back into battlenet.

Everything Worked as normal.

Let me know if this helps.

Finally…download complete
I disconnected my PC from the router and set a new connection with my mobile phone as a hot spot. After restart of battle.net launcher the download was completed in one sec.
After that I reconnected to my router and everything works.

Facing the same problem.
Tried everything suggested here, and then some, no solution.

IS there a working solution?
It’s annoying to have paid for something, and then not being able to install it…

I fixed it. I paused the update, and resumed it. Immediately 100%.

I had the same problem. What did NOT work:

  • Pausing/Resuming.
  • Scan & Repair.
  • Complete uninstall.
  • Then deleted Blizzard Entertainment and Battlenet folders inside %appdata%, %localappdata%, and %programdata%.
  • Then re-download new bnet installer from Blizzard. Then re-install with Admin.
  • Then start it “As Administrator”.

What DID work:

A user above mentioned something about a VPN. Normally I do not play games with a VPN, but I figured I’d try it. My download was as usual stuck at 99% with 1.4mb left. I paused. Fully exited Battlenet. Then connected my VPN to the nearest server. Then started Battle.net again. Then resumed. It instantly finished downloading. I can play now.

Blizzard is somehow IP blocking us… That’s why our downloads are not finishing.
