It’s annoying, I play from 30 seconds to 15 minutes, then game freeze and crash back to desktop.
I wish I COULD play, I can’t even get past the character selection screen.
Its hard to imagine that a simple update could cause all these problems…

Me too get those black screens and the errors codes. Since the update. And they not doing anythink about it!
Deinstall game, install from Public Test Realm, then switch to live (patches 500 mb) - worked for me now,
Thanks for the tip, tried, and at least got past the loading scren crash, but haven’t been online for 30 days….please start the game online…..which I can’t.
Hopefully works for those online recently though.
you do not have to play / start on test realm. just switch to “normal” live version then, it will do a 500 mb download and patch the game.

Did you ever consider the M$$ win event logs or eventvwr.msc? They sometimes might have useful information.
I wish I hadn´t bought the DLC. The game ran absolutely fine, and I had a ton of fun after playing Diablo II in the early 2000s and never since. Still got the box with the CD, but no drive anymore :). So much for buying a product to support a game and end up disappointed.
i had the issues just after dlc came out, you do not even have to buy it, to get the crashes
When you build a custom PC always make sure to install a CD/DVD drive

the game is still broken for me …no word from Blizzard ….incredible .
I know, almost 1 week has gone by and still nothing.
I cannot imagine what damage has been done to the game to render it completely unusable.
