For some time now, after starting the game, my offline heroes have always been displayed. It used to be that you could see your online heroes directly. Now I always have to go online first and then I sometimes get the message that the connection cannot be established. Restarting the game usually solves this problem, but it is not clear to me why and why this process is happening all of a sudden. Does anyone have similar problems or does anyone know a permanent solution?

Same issue here, randomly starting as offline with the majority of my toons online. Then, sometimes when I click online it will just connect no problem, other times it will say " failed to authenticate" (fixed by logging out and back in the battlenet account, even though I’m logged in whenever I start D2r). Today, the message is just “could not connect to server” so no idea what is going on :-).
Hope these issues will be addressed, soon ™, but so far it’s not gamebreaking.

I’ve been experiencing this issue for quite a while now. The servers are laggy despite there not being many public games. Could this be due to bots? Blizzard, maybe it’s time to look into this?

So the American server never has these problems, or it’s because I mainly play on the European servers. But maybe it’s also because you often change servers for trading. In my case, I also have several versions of Diablo running at the same time. In any case, it would be cool if there was an improvement by the start of the season.
If you run multiple versions of d2r, and it crashes than this happend. Today it crashes on NA now i can join EU… After player 10 hours on EU, it crashes now i cant join eu again. So maybe it is problem with these crashes if people have the same issue if they play alone.

Server issue apparently, I have the same thing regularly since I started playing again this season (EU). Have to restart game sometimes several times then it works. Chat sometimes doesn’t connect in game.

I got the exact same issues, needs multiply restarts of game and chat is often not working.

Have the same issues on EU servers for like 2 months now. Today its really bad & i get “failed to authenticate” permanently. Logging in on US works fine.

very difficult to onnect to EU servers, must try 20 times …
NA works 100% fine, its just EU servers

Please check your Eu-Servers. US and Asia work perfect.
