Hello everyone , nothing drop for me 550% mf , this week nothing drop , no runes , i drop all my low gear drops on free server for fun but this is not fun anymore because nothing drops for higher level or useful item. the unusual thing is the items which i identify have most time the same stats. if its RNG it must have random any stats , but it doesn`t.
the stats from charms have every time low stats , thats a law , but this isnt RNG ?
RNG means it can be have 4% cold resisst , 20% resist , 10 , 12 ,33 23 1,5, ,7,87,89,0,Ăź,Ăź0Ăź9089. but it is not this like its LOW stats every time. RNG Rolls for me every time low stats how can this be RNG ? Someone tell me how can RNG roll items every time low stats ? someone know what its mean ? gogog play classic D2 LOD and you see the different , its real rng and not this pseudo import export brain bug.
I found 300-350 MF gives the best drops… I also never get anything of value when i got 400+ MF.
I am not sure that this is usefull to answer but let me explain a little part of the drop mechanism.
Stats is not a unique affixe in the game.
Let’s take an example for cold resist on armor.
You have
Azure that give you 5–10 resist
Lapis → 11-20
Cobalt → 21-30
It is the same for human (Cold Resist) but this is 3 different affixes for the game.
And the first one has more chance to be chosen than the second and the second has more chance than the third.
the consequence of this is that for an human perspective you will see most of the time 5-10 cold resist (what you name low stat) and this is true and on purpose.
conclusion if you consider that this stat and other should be equally distributed over 5 to 30 cold resist, it is just that you do not undestand how it works. It is not at all bugged.
But you do not have to trust me. Make your own mod and test. All these parameters are avalaible to be modded and tested.
now place for those OLD grumpies who do not understand the statistics and the mechanics of the game. They will not get any other answers from me. Unless for once they come with an explanation, supporting evidence
Whole heartedly agree with Mirzull, I think that is where the confusion stems up from as well, most just don’t understand how the itemization works and I would like to additionally add that Diablo 2 is a very old game by design so it can feel somewhat archaic to it.
stop to play on normal, start to play on hell.
on normal u can’t find the rly good items.
for runes u don’t need mf.
zero mf or 1k mf, same chance to find a ber rune.

kill hell mephisto 100times and u should find something that is okay, like a harle.
but if u kill him 1k times and don’t find anything good, maybe it’s not just bad rng luck, than it could be a fault in system.
but rng is a b1tch, … till today i never found a windforce. and i played the game over years.
I agree, do a 100 meph run challenge and you will get something good for sure

Having a higher MF doesn’t DECREASE your drop chance, that’s ridiculous.
The reason it’s said that getting above a certain amount of MF is bad and leads to fewer drops is not because it impacts your drop chance negatively, it’s because it reduces your clear speed.

Well i just did a run to see. I have a now fully optimized MF sorc. I did have 500+ but was slow and i got nothing that i can get at 300+, it just took forever.
so i just did a run now after looking at this thread and a gheeds dropped on meph. Lady luck is on my side
Drop your mf rate down to 300-400 and farm mephisto constantly, i got shako last night as well as the items you see in the video, once full i make a free game on normal and let the newbies have them
Found one walking to baal with my amazon (who had a WF equipped) 8%, I had about 20 or 30 mf on, I should have bought a lottery ticket

You discovered that you can drop anything whatever your MF% value is. And that is better with more MF if you do not lower your kill speed.
But unfortunately I believe this is known since more than ten years. Anyway it’s good to have example sometimes. Thank you for sharing.
I know this is is true, but its more like 20++ years i have been playing this game.
People that moan and cry that the games broken when it comes to magic find and just either playing it wrong or have bad luck in the game, this can be only doing 20 minutes a day or just running normal mode.
If your lucky you could win the lottery, but its not broken cos you didn’t win and someone else did, next time buy 2 tickets and double your chances

i have done 50 games this morning and out of them 5 dropped blues/yellows with no set or unique item, with just 325% mf i do not understand where your coming from
2 Shakos have dropped today from meph, i had my lucky knickers on, ohh and set sacred armour on the walk to Diablo
Guys I have 900mf and I couldn’t find any shako :(, i killed mephisto 2 times, what should I do ?

Your slightly out on your runs, about 200 runs should get you a shako from meph only run
there’s a YouTube guy that did 500 Andriel runs to get a Jordan and none dropped, I got mine after about the 5 goes as I was taking a low level speed rushing him thru to act 5
It’s a numbers game. It means running a certain area hundreds, if not thousands of times… Watching Debrunski’s “human bot project” content will give you more modest expectations…
Target farming has always been disappointing for me and I have never found what I specifically set out to get. (Except countess / or GC from Baal)
My best drops occurred when I set time limits (eg. 3hrs) and counted how many times I could clear a certain area (or farm a specific boss) or if I could reach my objectives before the Baalrun ends.
Haha pathetic is the state of the game. Maybe you are SC pleb and things like dying while loading screen is not a big issue for you but for those who play HC is quite a problem, ID say. Or one shotting a barba with full end game gear w/ 6K hp is quite dumb and unbalanced. But what can you do… right!? Hahah pathetic you say… get lost pleb
