I checked the settings but unfortunately I can’t find anything with which I could change this key combination. i would like to take my last healing potion bar for mine so that i can heal it with the push of a button. 
i dont want press shift and xy.

I did not see any hotkey-settings for the merc 
. But I play the most time with controller. For me, its much more comfortable

hold Shift and press potionkey and it’ll give one to the merc
i know that but i want a hotkey without holding shift.
Build a macros for your KB or a mouse if your body somehow can’t execute a simple shift+1-4 action

on controller its super easy: L-Trigger + D-pad

Agreed. However controller falls a little flat at targeting big spells like Blizzard. I really wish they’d add the controller “click to cast” over the M+KB’s horrible “select to cast” approach. It would make M+KB a joy to play and bring the game up to date with its competition. Some of us want to use more than 2 skills in our builds, and it would make life fair for Paladins [with the controller you do not have you keep your active aura bound to a mouse button, you can just assign all your auras to a controller button and activate the one you want on demand].
