Well, first of all we need game repaired. But I couldn’t agree more: d2r needs some endgame. Harder than Ubers. I’d be okay if blizz make it as another DLC. Now there’s a huge overkill: you make 30k fireball sorc and don’t know how to compare her perf with 15k fireball sorc. Since it is anyway oneshot. Mostly.

Hell has become trivial indeed, I second a new difficulty. It adds longevity, it adds competition, it adds more dense unique drops.

If they ever add another one, which i doubt they ever will, i wish they change things up instead of just increasing/decreasing numbers.

The change from nightmare to hell is huge because of all the immunities. Forces you to do something different from what you already did in normal and nightmare.

If we go with DLC, it could actually be new enemies with totally new combat mechanics. However, it can be done via some Inferno diff and same enemies too. Examples:

  1. “Divine shield” skill.
    Make some monsters go totally invulnerable for N frames after being hit. This will benefit high-dmg slow-AS characters
  2. DmgCap passive.
    Previous mechanic reverted. Cap the damage monster can take from one hit. Or apply some low power curve to incoming dmg, like sqrt() or pow(x, 0.8), precise numbers need testing.
  3. Negative drain effectiveness. Be careful and distinguish ones how you’d better kill with a swap weapon.
  4. Make resistances 100+ an absorption effect. E.g. one has 130 fire res, and he heals himself for (130-100) = 30% of incoming dmg. Or maybe just utilize absorption mechanic that already exists, yet it’s is not exactly what I’m talking about
  5. RESISTANCE TO CRUSHING BLOW, please, finally. Not just phRes. CB is OP.
  6. Some totally immune to anything monsters (underpowered by other stats, though, for balance sake), that can be killed by some special effects only. OW, SF, CB, CS, Thorns, telekinesis, environmental damage (traps). Use any combination of these types of damage or even single one only.
  7. …And add some dangerous environment. Current traps do not impress. Make lava on the river of flame fatal, and add some knockback to monsters. There will be tons of frustration and fun, I promise.
  8. Melee 100% block OR ranged 100% block. Make Amazon unsheathe her sword, force barb throw and axe, make pala load his crossbow :slight_smile:
  9. Landmine monsters
    Cast self-corpse-explosion after some period of time after death. CE monsters exist, like fire/cold enchanted. Yet, they explode immidiately, and damage is… High but not fatal. Make landmines explode really hard. :slight_smile:

Exactly :man_facepalming: i guess these ppl who cry for “harder” content are 99% softcore players, who give AF about dying every 10 minutes

Ive seen this in D3 already. They are so proud to clear grift lvl xxx, but when yousee their gameplay, they die 20 times doing the rift…:man_facepalming:

In D3 the first end-game they did was Monster Power levels 1-10(something similar to /pkayers in D2). it was ok but soon a new end-game was needed.
They should add Grester Rifts, dven a ‘cheap’ version would be ok,e.g. a Cow levrl where not only cows spawn but aldo other type of monsters/uniques and after killing 90% of them random boss to spwan with lot of health. there can be e.g. 10 levels you xa choose to play, with leadeboards(even finish time counting for position). e g. level 1 to be actual Hell and 10 a king of /players 10.

Why don’t you just play HC? Or use different gear, play different classes or make different builds? Difficulty isn’t going to come any other way anytime soon.

Adding an extra difficulty is pointless. There will still be builds that can faceroll it. You would just end up with less viable builds for the highest difficulty which means less overall choice.

If you think Hell is too easy, you just need to start looking beyond the standard cookie cutter builds you googled a guide for and get a bit more creative.

For sure they are from softcore Player with top build as he sais (sorc fire with 15-30k dmg).

2nd. You Got right but i need to Point out that i said “Diablo Classic Hardcore” which means Diablo without expansion. So no runeword, no charms, no big item boost. Only rares, some uniques.

Third, it’s EU bnet, fyi. Not GB or US.

Server disconnects, server desync, invisible monsters desync which instantly appear around you, lags, some stupid game monsters design(e.g. undead stygian doll in halls before Mephisto, which one shot you on dead with a psychical explosion, that Vipers in claw viper temple which oine shot everyone with their fire hit with tale).
Hardcore in D2R I think is for BDSM oriented people.
How much time have you used save&exit in your hardcore games? you see, you ar cheating man.
anyway, hardcore in D3 is much much better if somebody really want hardcore.

So, once again… I’m playing this game since release day. I’m playing only on Hardcore and I died only two times because of my mistakes. Never had any of these problems which you mention, never have a problem with dealing with Dolls (I always need to kill them because I mostly play with characters without teleport). And as you already know ( hope so) on Classic there is no enigma or teleport charges like in LoD.

So in overall stop talking to me the same thing because it’s boring. I was inviting someone else not you if you didn’t saw that.

They can just allow /players common, that adds 7 more difficulty levels.

Yup we will make a new difficulty:
Inferno

Every monster is
Magic immune (suck it hammerdin)
Lightning immune (cannot be broken) (suck it Java / Light sorc)
Cold Immune (suck it Blizz sorc)
Fire Immun (suck it fire sorc, as if it was needed ehehe)

So everyone needs to play melee builds now :slight_smile:

Hardcore doesn’t make it harder. Just unforgiving. FYI. I died once with my assassin. And it was due to someone kiting the entire cow level to the portal and leaving them there. I would not do group games with randoms in hardcore games :slight_smile:
