[HUGE SUGGESTIONS] Let the Journey beggins!

Hi all. I am a huge fan of Diablo II, and i am gamedesigner with like 10 years of modelling concepts.

This is huge list of suggestions that can hardly emprove the game expirience.

  1. Give us the possibility to copy-paste lobby names. That was a huge part of playability and easier to follow concrete diabloruns and baalruns.

SUGGESTION: add a small list of mostly interesting lobbies - trades, exping, duels, hunting. Ofcourse show all the tier levels - normal, nightmare and hell.

  1. Open the + skills from items and remove the “character base type” requirements. Yes, give barbarian 2 titan’s and see what happens. Also all the +skills apply to all the skills you already have. I mean if you wear 2x Titans on Barbarian, he will have like +6 to all Amazon skills, so, the +Thunder Strike is just adds like a skill to the list of possible skills.

  2. We need randomization reroll option.

  3. We need option to make item magic or rare.

  4. WE need option to make magic or rare items - white, remove all options and clear item stats to the item base.

  5. We need option to reroll sockets, possible catch maximum amount of sockets equial to 6. Not really expensive option to gamble sockets.

7, We need option to add rare option to the item

  1. We need possible huge rework of rare items, they have to be stronger.

  2. We need possible huge rework of uniques, to make lower uniques matter in lategame.

  3. We need huge expand of late-game content. Let the Journey beggins!

  4. We need at least 2 or even 3 more classes. Balanced, interesting.

  5. We need Act 6, Act 7, and Act 8.

  6. You have to unite and cross integrate Diablo 3 and Diablo 2.

  7. You have to revisit useless skills that no one never maximises. All characters have useless skills, half of paladin auras, half of curses, half of amazon passives and magic abilities, barbarian passives.

  8. You have to maximize the possible manual control manipulations, a way the player think when use skills.

  9. Add on-hit options. Passive skills like “After casting a spell your next attack deal +X fire damage”.

  10. Add QTE options to make fights more epic and lovely. That means kinda different duel mechanics, but we came for fun, and not other options.

  11. You will be much happier if we will have loot-boxes from killing bosses. Like you kill Mephisto, and instead of loot you just collect a box. For opening box you need Key (standart keys). For opening box just throw it. So, you can collect up to 100 positions in one inventory slot. So, unboxing is so lovely mechanics, with possible huge emotions - for streamers and contents. Everyone love lootboxes. You can sell lootboxes with unique items, runewords. With runes also, the lesser runes, the magic runes, the rare runes, and the unique runes.

  12. You have to revisit jewels, add more magic and rare options, revisit thier values and add like 20-30 unique jewels.

  13. Make possible to craft any runeword in any item. And if there is 6 sockets, that means you can possible craft 2 runewords in one item. And ofcourse you can craft runewords in any magic, rare or unique items. That is pure gameplay diversity.

  14. Add like 12 new runes - 8 high tier, 4 for elemental positions (absorb, penetration, etc.)

  15. Rework the armor mechanics. It is strange that armor parameter gives evasion rating. We have some damage reduce items, but it is a armor the thing that have to reduce damage.

  16. Add “barrier” mechanics. If you have a shield, it gives a 100% block from small barrier that follows player cursor. Works exactly like Braum Barrier. Also the more block chance you have, the bigger block radius is. Max block radius is 120 degrees. To blocking mechanics is target-like.

  17. Add skill-modify system. A additional skill version options, as like “Fires 3 additional missles, can shootgun”. And that means really different playstyle. Frost Orb Sorceseress fires 3 orbs at once.

  18. You have to review melee classes fight mechanics. They are pretty strong 1v1 in PvP, yes, but playing them PvE is a pain.

  19. Add Pure PvP content like MOBA genre. There is a lot of content that can be a base.

27,. Yes, again, we want pure pvp content.

  1. Add all character auras and make character syngeries deeper.

  2. Add like 100 new horradric recypes that also may do “Flush all the stats of the item”, “Reroll items” which mean you combine 3 any rarity items and roll a new item with iLvl higher than the lower sacrificed items, exactly like rune crafting work.

  3. We should have corruption option that can be set in item.

  4. Also make “+ All Javelin Skills” to open all the Javelin skills on any character. So, having sorceress lighting skills as an option for having teleport skills. Make charms great again!

  5. Create like 30 unique charms to have to choice from. Most are have to be not really strong, but giving interesting options.

  6. Make a 5 additional acts as a each boss special level that gives a options to farm. A tonns of narrative is included.

To be fair, you use this phrase way to often. I don’t need most of your suggestions.

Blizzard develop Diablo 4 atm, so your proposal with those big changes is too much…
They need to add an end-game, even a cheap one, but D2R need an end-game, e.g. Greater Rifts with leaderboards, even in a “cheap” form.

I applaud the dedication, but in all honesty, I do not need most of the stuff in this list. Exceptions are buffing the melee classes and bowazon and improving the use of jewels - I never use any of them apart from crafting blood and caster gear.

What especially gets on my nerve is the lootbox mechanic - I hate them with a passion. Even more so if you can buy them. The loot system is absolutely fine as it is and for me, the spread of items on the ground is far more rewarding than getting a box.

Do you not know about 40/15 jewels? Or jewels with 30 fire resist and any other useful affix good for putting in andariels visage?
Most jewels are crap, but there are some useful drops to be found.

For “like 10 years of modelling concepts” this is a very poorly thought out list of suggestions, mostly because the person who made these suggestions is throwing random stuff, absolutely oblivious of scope/consequences. It’s just a random list of stuff (mostly OP, like per good tradition from the “designers” :slight_smile: )

I remember when I was 12 years old I was making lists like these.

Greater rifts are kinda, well, stupid… Need something other than greater rifts. Need something with content. Something different. Hell, how about when you get to end game, new character types become available along with a new act, etc… Rifts are so repetitive, they have no end game value. Somehow need to keep it fresh and interesting.

Maybe you need new game which cost more then 40 USD. People dont want to work fo free. Business dont pay people for the work that does not generate income.

What? What? Loot-boxes? WTF???

Play another game. This is too ridiculous.

everything is repetitive. or do you think Blizzard will develop continously new acts/chats/content? this is not possible.
Greatet rifts are like Chess games, everytime you get another scenario, because maps are random generated, mobs types are random generated(you even get 2-3 elites packs to fight on the same time, everytime different afixes and mobs type) boss at the end is random… Greater rifts are a challenge where your char is pushed to the limits, very fun to beat a new higher level.

Greater rifts are not repetitive as a Diablo/Baal run are, everytime same map, almost same mobs, same boss… very boring.
