Monster that are cold immune with infinity still are… in act 1-5 bug or i am noob and not rememberin right? 2 ber run for what ??? still immune cold

That’s not a bug. If monsters have very high cold res., even the infinity’s conviction won’t remove it.

Conviction works at 1/5th effectiveness on immunes. Infinity gives level 12 conviction iirc which is -85% resistance. 85/5=17% So any monster that has a cold resistance of 116 or below, the resistance will be broken and then cold mastery takes effect. If the Cold Immune monster has higher than 116 cold resist (which most of them do in hell I think) then the conviction does nothing, and you are stuck letting your merc kill them anyway. If you want to go that route, you may, but it is the general concensus of the sorceress forum that it is a waste of 4 highly valuable runes.

Hi, I have a similare problem with a lightining amazone. The conviction aura of my merc he got from infinity word spear has absolutely no effect against any immune monster. Tthey turn greenish and the description “immune to lightning” below the monster goes away but no damaging at all by my chain lightning tried for a couple of hours. Very frustating
they still have high lightning res even after you break the immunity.
You need -lr on gear e.g. griffons to kill them better.
(or just good gear in general)
most cold immunes got 130% cold resis. if a monster is cold immune, lower resis, conviction has a reduced effect down to 1/5. therefore you cant break most of the cold immunities. most ppl change to the clunky light sorc in endgame, because you can break almost all lightning immunities ingame.
I tink the only way is Infinity+Griffons Eye.
To kill elemental resist. But is just what i heard, i never tryed it.
just use fireball with 125% buff damage under infinity
