Improvement idea for patch 2.4.1

Hello,

a simple and decent idea, maybe someone else already mentioned it 1000 times before, but still:

Make Larzuk quest on HELL infinite rewards!

Here’s the idea:

  • people are NOT building new chars just to do that quest, its nothing to play to
  • people ARE creating 3-4 lvl 1 chars for nothing, rushing them to larzuk and then deleting and redoing it, which has absolutely NO benefit and NO pleasure of playing, but loads the server with uneeeded characters
  • usually this is done twice, as the most common way IMO is you help a friend rush 3 chars to larzuk, then he does the same for you, so you waste actual playing and farming time to rush these chars.

Now for the cons, someone might say, “but this is too easy, why do it?”. I say, in the end everybody WILL rush for larzuk anyway, but it’s more frustrating/boring to do it like it is now with no real gain.

What do you think?

I vote Nay. Using that quest reward should be considered carefully and not become a ‘meh let me just socket every crappy unique I find’

But if anyone needs, they WILL do a rush for a lvl 1 char anyway, so what’s the point of this, that’s what i’m wondering.

Sure, let them. Earns the one rushing some runes as well. No need to make it so every item be socketed at a whim though.
Don’t make the game too easy, we need stuff to do :smiley:

to me should be good something like paying a pul to larzuk and you get the socketed item fast or you do your normal run. This way a decision must be done but who are whealty and doesnt want to rush a char at least has an option . Especially for single player. A minor change that doesn’t change for the worst but for the better .

I also have an idea … This is a necro summoner. If the synergies were to change it could revive some unused abilities.
How about to move skeleton DMG from skeleton masters to iron golem, and to fire golem to give mage DMG.
Of course, there is a problem with the iron golem. Why the object from which the golem is called is destroyed. It would not be enough to lock this object. This means that it could only be stored in inventory or in a personal chest. The item would still be usable after the death of the iron golem.

-rise skeleton 20 point bonus physical DMG for iron golem
-skeleton mastery 20 point
-iron golem 20 point synergy bonus physical DMG for rise skeleton
-amplify demage 8 point
-corpse explosion 13 point
-golem mastery 1 point
-summon resist 1 point
90 skill point
Army with elemental damage …
-rise skeletal mage 20 point bonus elemental DMG for fire golem
-skeleton mastery 20 point
-fire golem 20 point bonus elemental DMG for skeletal mage

I think this is a horrible! idea . Why do people just want everything without putting in ‘a little bit’ of effort ? Unlimited socket rewards ?? , because players are creating low level toons to rush to act 5 for Larzuk… How would low level, rushed players put ‘extra stress’ on the servers anyway ?? compared to toons that DO have the pleasure of killing all the trash and doing all the quests , or the lvl1 Mules (MOAR SERVER LOAD) the idea is just as silly as the suggestion for Unlimited respecs or Much higher drop rates for the $$$-stuff.

Same reason ‘gamers’ these days need quest markers to figure out how to find something in rpgs.
We live in the age of mobile ‘gaming’ dude.

But loyal D2R players don’t want that. At least I hope not

kadami funny ideas:
On hell difficulty, after use Larzuk add sockets, next for 3.000.000 gold.
At Charsi, next imbues 500.000 - 1.000.000 gold.
‘Resurrect’ last created iron golem at Kashya and others - always 50.000 or 100.000 gold.

Tell me about it!! I am 44yrs old, so I had to play Mario bros I … and Rayman (think it was the first) on ps2 , … now those WERE quite challenging :stuck_out_tongue: … And no, we had no intercheat also… had to figure out everything from every game by ourselves, hehehehehe

There is easy and there is way too easy that game gets boring.
Rushing is still work, fun work. Just sitting at Lazurk and rolling sockets - throw out of the window all cube recipes - remove part of the game that has economy/fun around it.
