I have some set (green) items in double or even triple. I’m about to sell them to the merchant but before doing something i would regret, i ask : is there something useful i could do with them (like using them in a horadric cube recipe) ?

No, there isn’t.
But some people may be interested in trading for these.
Depends on what you have some are really valuable and can be traded for high runes but thats only a few , and sometimes depending on the set you can trade a whole set for runes. My advice is search if you have anything valuable and if not vendor them

i don’t think my items are valuable : isenhart, cathan, etc. low level items.
my chest is full of green items in x2 
so i will keep one of each and sell/give friends the others.
Angelic amulet + 2 angelic rings = +2000 AR
Not sure if other useful cases exist.
