Items disappear offline - PS4 and also on PC

What’s going on with you guys?

Unfortunately, you always have server problems on board, especially with a new release or new add-on. Since I was expecting it, I started directly with an offline character on my PS4.
I then tested playing on the console completely without internet. This is basically possible, but the client wants to connect once in 30 days.
That’s a no-go, but I could live with that if necessary.
What I can’t live with is that items obviously disappear, i.e. are not saved.

And if that happens while I’m playing an offline character and am deliberately not connected online, then something is fundamentally wrong with the PS4 release.

I thought fine, then I’ll just play offline and disconnected on a PC, then I can at least use / players 8, which is still missing on the console. Another no-go.

Well, suprise suprise … I was able to observe the same phenomenon on the PC.

So one thing should be clear. Not everyone likes your online bullshit. With WoW this is clear, with D2R it is an artificially made problem. In the past it wasn’t necessary to play online and I would have liked that for D2R too. It’s nice that you want to include that, but that only makes the game worse in my opinion.

I will summarize again
*Obviously, the game status is not saved properly offline on the PS4.
*Obviously, the game status is not saved properly on the PC offline.
*Chat or another option for / players 8 is missing from the console.
You had promised that the same gaming fun would be implemented on all platforms.
*Because items, playing time and, above all, the desire for the game are not saved properly, items are lost.

So you’ve already understood that, haven’t you? I knocked out 40 € twice and errors occur on both platforms, which make gaming fundamentally obsolete. And that has nothing to do with your server problems. And nothing with your alleged DB problems. A login que for Diablo 2, seriously?

How about if you first make sure that D2R works with patches and that I haven’t thrown out 80 € pointlessly?

You gave us old Diablo II veterans a mega-gift with D2R, but you spoiled the new game experience with such technical inadequacies.

And it is clear to you that people also have an understanding of IT architecture and technologies and gamble and read that, right?

If I did my job like that, I would be unemployed relatively quickly.

I hope this will get fixed soon.

Its happened to me, 4 times now. Different days, different chars. Its also happened to a friend of mine the other day. Doesn’t matter if u scan or try to repair your own files on your harddrive. This is NOT a client-based issue, its server-related.

Today i lost my almost p sorc-torch and a 2:nd Gheeds and some sc’s.
I own 3 copies of the game, and it happens to the main-one i use most frequently. Does’t matter if you’re on the EU or US server. Has happened to me on both. Could be doing Nihla-runs for hours, then all of a sudden, in the very next game, tomb of tps, torch, gheeds and some other places in my inv. is gone. (Sometimes random slots in stash on different tabs also will be gone).

For a collecting items-game, This is UNACCEPTABLE.

Take the reports seriously, im not after some crap new items, i know Blizz never provides that kind of favours. Come up with a solution or this will piss off more and more ppl!
If not, we will be forced to quit playing. Since the communication of data between your master-server and locals aren’t working correctly.

Since nobody from “blue” has answered here since Oct 17, im sure they’re on top of it and are obviously looking into this matter as we speak :wink:

I play offline only and my weapon just dissapeard (the shield is still there)
