Malice runeword did NOT work

Okay, i followed the guide in arreat summit to make the Malice runeword on a melee weapon. It did NOT work. I am kinda pissed.

The weapon i choose was a 3 socket WIRT’S LEG… and i put the runes in order, it did NOT work. It is a melee weapon, but why it didn’t work. Now i am pissed.

Why it didnt work?

you cant put runewords in wirt’s leg. it’s a special item

Don’t feel too bad about it, everyone here either read forums before hand or found out the hard way that Wirts Leg couldn’t be used as runeword socket.
This game has a lot of trial and error if you do not read forums before hand.
