Here is the video evidence proving that maphacking cheaters are already infesting the ladder. Thoughts?

Clickbait

There is no real evidence shown, though its very likely that paladin uses maphacks the proof and therefore the certainty is missing. So its not more than clickbait

How is it clickbait? The video clearly shows how fast the pala is maphacking and teleporting into the throne room, his/her friend OPENLY admitting that the pala is using a maphack on chat. I would be ok if you would disagree but you cannot call this a clickbait.

This is evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. This is how judges decide on cases. You can never know if something is foolproof or not. You need evidence beyond a reasonable doubt to issue your judgement. I submit that this is evidence beyond a reasonable doubt. You have 5 runs of pure consistent 10 sec throne tp’s and on top of that you have a clear CONFESSION which is then followed by them leaving the game and running away. Get your facts right before throwing mud at people.

Hey Skulum, I was in that game too, I am playing the level 93 sorc (level 94 now).

It re-started again at pbaal-1…

I enjoyed the fast runs and fast exp… I don’t wanna snitch on the guy :smiley:

there is imo a discrepancy between showing obviously suspicious behavior of a single player, which is very likely using a hack and the title: ladder infested with cheaters? + speaking of evidence which isnt shown in the video. the only thing shown is suspicious behavior.
so while I agree that this guy is cheating , the presentation of that video is imho clickbaiting

If you want evidence just google d2r assist or youtube jieguan take over bot to see packet bots in action ruining literally the first ladder (this is detectable). Fact is the player base who has bought d2r has spent their $ and there is no financial incentive to put a stop to this. The developers also don’t actually play the game and are clueless as to how to solve many of the issues plagueing this fan favorite hit of an all time classic video game. I’m so utterly sick of how mismanaged this franchise has been with the catastrophe that was d3 and now the follow up dissapointment of d2r. I love d2 I love the theme I love the gameplay, I love the character design and progression but it’s had next to no improvements in 20 years and it’s turned a game I love and grew up with to a game not worth playing at all.

What’s even worse is some players refuse to see the hard evidence and truth in front of them and hide behind stupid arguments. “Map reading”. I do map reading myself. I speedrun this game. There is no way you can flawlessy and consistently reach baal throne every game in 10-15 seconds.

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Please take action against MH, that is a cheat which gives an advantage to the user against those who don’t use it. Either give the map vision to everyone or take action against MH at least by temp banning MH-users and banning confirmed MH-users/ repeated users of MH. You may just flat out ban any confirmed MH user in my opinion since that is clearly and simply a cheat. Then they will simply stop using it.

(I don’t think giving map vision to everyone makes D2 a better game, rather the contrary.)

Also ofc there are ways to prevent any client from getting map info they aren’t seeing which would then prevent MH at the root.

Again any $ needed for taking care of cheating, just put up a optional subscription/donation for contributing to/supporting the effort. No in-game reward needed.

I was in a few runs with this guy, can remember the hanzi in his name. 100% MH user, constant -6 seconds throne TPs after loading in, over three dozen runs.

I mean why are people so eager to uphold this dream of D2R ladder being legit? It’s no different than the 20yo garbage long ago. MH, bots and full jsp gear on day 2.

Your little dream world is crumbling and crumbling fast. If you want legit diablo 2 you will have to wait for the next PD2 season and suck it up and play with the 2000 graphics. Blizzard won’t do anything about it, when their business profile is 100% then diablo 2 ladder play is like 0.01% of that.

No dream world here, if cheating runs free the game is exit : P Cheating must be banned. But right now it’s a lot better than LoD before. Haven’t seen bots on HC so far, heck I haven’t even seen a MH so it’s a lot rarer than before. Pls ban cheaters.

I think that this ladder is shit, that blizzard has not done anything to remedy it and has not listened to the community I have made several post with evidence showing that there are bots and did nothing I denounced the maphack and they told me that I had evidence xd more than 20000 people have stopped playing the ladder and prices on the floor the ladder flooded with bots the leaderboards do not go the servers are down, what a pity you guys give
