First of all - it’s not a display bug in the merc window
I fetched a Merc in A2 Nightmare with freezing Aura. In hell difficulti it shows the defence aura but NO Aura is activated at all. The Merc is NOT freezing / cooling Enemys, the defence Aura shown in the merc Window with 220% Defence is never activated - even not while hes killing enemys…
My merc is dieing all nose long.
Anyone else - or any idea for a solution ?
The Aura is activated when the Merc is fighting by chance.
As the Merc has some differnt attacks and the aura is one of them, it realy can take long to activate.
And yes, it would be better to have the aura activated from the start… For Summoner its always a pain to wait for aura of merc.

i 'll give it a try again - maybe i an hour or 2 - still Nr. 99 since 20 mins
but i seem to be very unlucky - a whole cow level solo hell and no aura activation…
and the merc died at each unique Boss becouse of not freezing / slowing the enemies…
if you need your merc aura for some reason, just go to blood moor or cold plains and let him solo fight there until the aura is activated
