Multiplayer Games (Baal Runs) are impossible to play

This is so sad… you see a game with people in it, opened only a few seconds ago, you want to join - “Game is full.”

Until then, it’s ok - other were faster, alright - but why the… do i get a 1 minute “cooldown” to join another a game? I mean seriously? For what do i get a 1 minute cooldown to join games when i haven’t joined a game…

Another example - you see a game but you were to slow to hit “Join Game”-button and the game disappears out of the list, but you remember the game name, alllright, let’s do this!
You type in the game name, you join a game and… you are in a COMPLETE different game (different name) then what you had typed in AND as a bonus - you have a 1 minute cooldown AGAIN to join another game.

Haven’t you tested this? What did people think when they “invented” this system? Why can’t i get a SIMPLE message that describes what has happened PLUS without getting a 1 minute cooldown.

It’s just frustrating and no - back in the days everyone was doing the same, Baal Runs, MF Runs, one after another and it worked, day in and day out…

This is because most people follow the “game leader” from game to game. So when one game ends, the next one begins, and most of the people will immediately re-join.

If you are tired of the experience, run your own games.

I think what he is stating, is that the cooldown applies to him even though he didn’t get into a game. This happens for me often too and is extremely annoying. I am flabbergasted they still have not fixed that. That was not the intention of the cooldown. The intention was to prevent super fast, sub 30 second MF runs and to decrease server load. how is trying to join a full game, and then getting a cooldown justified? fix immediately.

Ah. Yes, it is super frustrating. The unmatching generic error message also does not make it better :slight_smile:

It’s really frustrating. I gave up trying to play this game like a week ago. Wanted to check today if there has been any improvement and of course there has been absolutely nothing done and the same issues are still here.

I’m so disappointed in Blizzard for screwing up this release. The game itself runs great but they failed so hard with the back-end and server stuff.

quick join and add baalers to friends is best deal.
games dont refresh fast enough from lobby and if you see the games it can be full allready

They said they added 1 min new game cooldown to avoid new game creation every 15 seconds etc…
But why joining is limited? Join does not create a new game

Like some others said - it’s not about the cooldown you get when creating games, no. It is about the cooldown you get, when you JOIN games.

That’s so annoying…

When i try to rejoin a new Baalrun for example, i regularly wait 5-6-7-8 secs for the other player to create the game, after he left the last one (and said “ng” or something like that to tell the others - i create the new one). Sometimes a little bit longer.

What can happen now is:

  • Game isn’t created fast enough, whatever the circumstances may be,
  • Game is already full.

Result - for trying to JOIN a game you get a 1 minute cooldown, wtf?!

Just fix this - create cooldown, yes - join cooldown, hell no!

And as other mentioned - it would be really really really (with lots of sugar and strawberrys on top) nice if the error messages will be fixed too.

It’s no bad internet connection, it is:

“Game is already full - please try to join another game.”
“Game doesn’t exist - please try again.”
“You have created to many games in the last minute, please wait one minute before you create another one, thank you!”

THIS would be error messages that:

  1. make sense!
  2. state the exact problem why you couldn’t join the game and react in the right way to…
    … guess what…
    … play Diablo 2 Resurrected!

Oh and another cool thing:

You see a Baal game that exists for about 3-4mins with 3-4 people in so you know - this is already finished or almost finished.

Now - you’ll try to be clever: just try to not join this game with “Baalrun-004”, no - try to join “Baalrun-005” which could be the new one.

Alright - oho - i join a game, yes!

But what is that?! I’m in a completely different game, hu?! “Act 2 Rush” or something like that and guess what!
To give you a nice present for this you get…

… ah, i know you all are able to guess what …

… the mighty 1 minute cooldown, yay.
