The great thing about Diablo 2 was that you could play it privately with your family and friends on your local network at home. If something didn’t work, it was your own fault because you didn’t configure your own hardware properly.
What was the biggest crap they did with Diablo 3? Removing that local network mode and having to be constantly connected to Blizzard’s servers with an online compulsion so that crap was playable. If the servers gave problems or the online connection to the service went haywire, then a hardcore character was quickly screwed. Death = death and is not made by Blizzard. Regardless of whether you were at fault for the circumstance or not. But 99% of the time the fault was always with Blizzard. What a great feeling.
But redemption was not far and we received Diablo 2 Resurrected. My family and friends were already looking forward to lan parties like in the old days. Meet at 8 at someone’s house, pizza, beer and put an end to the evil and chase Diablo and Baal back into Nirvana and the whole thing from the beginning.
We couldn’t wait…
and then there it was…
and we puked in the corner because you CAN’T PLAY ON THE LOCAL NETWORK AT HOME WITHOUT BLIZZARDS SERVER!!!
You can see the result now again. Server and service from Blizzard work once again like garbage, useless, unavailable and just annoying.
What’s the point of the greatest and most beautiful game if you can’t play it with your friends and family at the only available time???
Why did not they just take the best of Diablo 2 with? A proper multiplayer experience over local network WITHOUT ONLINE FORCES? Without your buggy servers?
Ever heard of “never touch a running system”?
Finally go back to the roots of lan parties and implement the local network option here!
From me gladly an online mode with Battle.net with an extra portion of thrills in HC and server failure and a mode for offline players (solo + network mode)
As it is now again, it is simply an imposition!
but what am I actually complaining about here? Blizzard is anyway on the ass past what the customers think. You have taken your money and are happy and satisfied and the customer is the stupid one and can be annoyed when it does not work again.
Since you can not expect patience or understanding from me. This has been lost since the online compulsion with your servers.

and then “everything works again” and the servers supposedly run “error-free” again and you then play a new character for a few hours…
and suddenly the whole crap starts all over again, the servers hang, you can’t identify anything anymore, then some channels are left, which you didn’t use anyway…
leaves the game annoyed about “Save and quit” and what do the delighted eyes see? The character is level 1!
and what about all the items that I have farmed in advance? Which I have used from another char for this new char?
All gone?
All the game time = wasted time?
Blizzard it’s the weekend! What kind of crappy game are you playing with your customers?
