Multiple damage types versus Immunities

As I slowly unravel the mechanisms for beating immunes that I need to employ for the more than half dozen characters I have now levelled into Hell, I need an answer to the following question that I couldn’t find on the wiki…

If I have a Bowazon whose Bow deals 50 Physical damage, and adds 100 Fire damage…

a) If I shoot a Fire Immune monster with it, does it still take 50 Phys damage?

b) If I shoot a Phys Immune monster with it, does it still take 100 Fire damage?

And are the answers the same if I use Strafe or a similar skill that just fires a modified version of your normal attack? Many thanks in advance.

Basicly yes. But it’s not that simple. Mobs still can have armor and resistance to elements. So your damage will be reduced or avoided

Gotcha thanks.

Personally I run Strafe/Magic Arrow. Magic for Phys Immunes and Strafe for everything else. She tears through Chaos, Trav, and Cows like it’s nobody’s business. Sadly I built her as a glass cannon so she has 500 HP and crap for resits, inventory full of +100 Pois SCs. I dumped everything into Dex to pump both damage and hit chance. With Fort and WF she’s pulling 4k Strafe and about 4.5k Magic Arrow.
