Hi, can someone please tell me what best base would be to build fortitude for char (not for merc) . i have 505 defence arc plate. is there better? i want to ende up with atleast 1.5k defence on it . and does ED on it make a huge difference? im building my 1st fortitude and dont want to waste LO . THNX
Fortitude will increase you Armour’s defence by +200% so it should come out at 1515. Depends how they calculate that increase. I mean an “increase of 200%” multiplies a number by 3. while “200% of a number” multiplies it by 2. I assume “+200%” means the former. Better get a second opinion though.
And by ED in your second question, do you mean Enhanced Damage? Fort has 300% which I believe will essentially multiply the lower and upper (physical) damage values of your current weapon’s base damage by 4 each (with same caveat as above). I’m not at all sure about that though, I have never owned a Fort. Presumably it does something decent or it wouldn’t appear on Fort Armour and only on a Fort Weapon.
EDIT: Wiki says this: " Note that +X% Enhanced Damage only works on weapons; on any other item it’s converted to Damage +X% instead."
I don’t know what the difference between those two is.

max def on archon plate is 524, so your plate is not too far off.
if you want a perfect base you need a +15% ed high base def archon plate
but def really doesn’t matter that much. If you want to resell it later though it could matter

dont use a base with %ed. it will increase your repair costs for it greatly. thats no fun if you need to pay 500 000 for a repair.

Genau dafür gibt es die Möglichkeit mit Runen + Würfel Ausrüstung zu reparieren. 
klingt nach fetten pain in the ass. aber wers mag.
thnx all, i used the normal 505 archon plate = gave 1530 defence . the repair costs is too much on %ed so thnx for the advise!
