New Scam methode

Hello guys,
I’m just here to tell everyone to being very careful.
This new methode (new for me) confuses us if we dont know what happening.
This happened with me just 30 min ago.

I offered a HOTO for runes and he came in my game. Then he started a private chat where he fake posting a high rune. When I realized I can’t do the same he told me to press CTRL+ALT in PM what causes item drop. He picked it up and… YOU KNOWS.

I was stupid a little bit, it never happened to me before. I was in hurry and I didn’ think it through in real time!

So just careful guys!

thats a qol change but makes some more ways to get scammed :slight_smile:

Dunno what all those morons get out of ruining the game for others… Would be nice with some common blacklist, so you could tag the account for bad behavior, and when someone logs into your game, the game can tell you that 8 players have tagged that account for bad behavior. They survive because there’s tons of players, and nobody wanna bother keeping track of all the morons as a service to everyone.

Imagine, all it takes to make his day is another ones missfortune…

But yeah even though people would say it’s your fault, just forget them. Atleast now you learned the lesson hard way. :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s like… “Hey, you can have more loot / better items loot on your next game if you do delete these files from sys***32…”. If you’re agree to do something some unknown people told you, then the problem are you.

just for the future…
if you want to link an item.

open the chat with enter like you want to write something. now press and hold SHIFT + leftclick on the item you want to show. now it is in the chat.

just test it in a singleplayer game .
tbf the way to DROP items is shown unter the item in the item description.

also after you died and took back your body. if you shift + leftclick your potions in your inventory they fill your belt. so no drag and drop needed.

don’t be to upset about that scam.
Someone who feels the need to scam in a game has most likely a terrible life in general.

Losing a hoto to a scammer is terrible. I wish you the best and thanks for the info. I will stay at my oldschool tradewindow, because of stuff like this.
