Noob question about Pandemonium event

Hey guys, for sure this is an absolute noob question about the Pandemonium event, but:

Once I have acquired mephistos brain etc, can I close the game and these items remain in my stash to be able to go to uber tristram in a new game? I just want to be sure :-). A short answer would be very much appreciated!

Yes.

When you got the organs in your inventory, you can safely open up another game and open the portal to Tristram there.
