Can you make it so you can save the Offline Difficulty Scaling (/players x) setting between sessions and per character?
As it is you need to set the value after each time you save and exit.
It would also be nice to have this setting saved per character, since I play some on 1, others on 3 or 5.
yeah its pretty useless. better save p8 in the clipboard right now.
hopefully they fix this.
Roger that ! we need a patch to fix the patch sir !
Exactly. When implementing new features, please do it properly.
It’s second on my list of Dilbert’s Prize for Useless New Features In Patch 2.3.
It was initially announced as a feature for consoles. But at some point they decided to have it also on the PC versions. What’s most damning about it, is they even say in the tooltip the setting will reset between play sessions, meaning they made it intentionally useless.
The only saving grace – and why I place it second, and not first – is this is still useful for consoles which don’t have a chat screen.
I do agree on keeping the difficulty effect activated until we quit the game, at least.
Also, the option is located at the bottom of the screen. Thinking about changing the setting every time when we have started a session is so painful.
Otherwise, typing in a command line would be more useful.
i put a post before this mod, in original d2 solo player keep the /players7 over and over until you close the game, but at start and now of d2r the /players command doesnt stay so…its a bug before this patch
To be fair, the old /players X command still works. As it now is it’s faster to just use the old command every run.
My guess is this slider was added for pad players and in that case the option should be moved to the top of the option screen…
Or just have us save the setting per character, just as key configuration is saved per character ![]()
Blizz please fix!
I agree.
Please, fix it.
This has a solution. In your Battlenet Launcher, go to Options>Game Settings>Additional Command line arguments and put -players X in there. This will persist between game sessions.
Ideally, yes, the slider they added should not reset so that the above procedure is not necessary. Perhaps they’ll fix this soon but until then just use the Launcher command.
Big thank you man, you are my hero!
