Seriously, this is misleading. Why make an offline mode only to say log in?
If my internet goes down, then I cannot play offline mode. Please sort this out. I like this game so far but to have an offline mode, there should be no internet required at any time before or during playing D2 Resurrected.
creo que existe un modo en linea y modo local, por lo que entendi el modo local no requiere internet o eso creo… yo recomendaria jugar en modo local si jugaras en solitario y online si en algun momento jugaras con otras personas o amigos, eso si son saves separados una partida local no puede acceder a una partida online. espero en un futuro exista un cooperativo local pero de momento es lo que se en lo que llevo jugando.

lol. I just can’t understand how blizzard can’t do what Wolcen did. If you want online mode - internet required. If you want offline single player - no internet required. Simple

imagine explaining to the devs, 25 years ago when we had single player that didnt require internet to play xD, that one day they wouldnt be able to make single player games without failing horribly
I believe that blizzard removed offline mode, and local Lan due to modded items and duping, and security reasons.
Who cares what they do in their OFFLINE games. Let them dupe till they puke. Doesnt hurt anyone in the online world.
YES this game was and is an advertising scam made to ensure that they made some sort of revenue to meet their end of the year accounting quota for income statements, because they mislead us and the game is nowhere near being ready to release. This is WORSE than Warcrap III reforged.
I believe they didn’t because they said in a statement that this will be offline if you wish.
Because they want to mix us with their stakeholders and play us off of them. If we’re online then their numbers show increases and they get to brag to their shareholders, we’re of new use to them offline. This game is like a scam already.
I tested offline with no internet disabled network on pc launched d2r it opens batlenet clicked play and game launched and i could play it with no internet in offline mode
No one deleted the offline mode, the game starts and works directly through the D2R.exe shortcut from the root folder, without starting the battlenet, the Internet is not required for this.
I play the game offline. I’ve tested it numerous times. Don’t know what you’re on about.
You can’t play offline mode without internet because you still need to log in to your battle.net account before playing. Hence why I’m confused as to why say you can play offline when clearly you can’t until after logging in.
Just to clear things up, you can indeed play in offline mode, even (especially?) if your internet is down. 
You will however need to connect online at least once every 30 days.
Why is that? Can I read about this somewhere?
DRM stuff probably, just to ensure that the license is valid.
